Really wish Namibian musicians would embrace the concept of writers. Let other people write and coach you then you just sing.
Jeiyo, for example, would have made this concept even better.

A Namibian DJ gets a three-hour set at a Namibian establishment, in front of a Namibian crowd, and somehow doesn’t play a single Namibian song. So what exactly are we doing here? Ano omwafingwa?

AmaBhungane is deeply concerned by reports that our former colleague, South African journalist Micah Reddy, and his local fixer, Kooki Mahmoud, are missing in Djibouti.
Micah is a former amaBhungane journalist and a valued member of the investigative journalism community in South Africa and across the continent.
We join the Committee to Protect Journalists in calling on the Djiboutian authorities to urgently clarify Micah and Kooki’s whereabouts and ensure their safety.
We call for their immediate safe return.

“Nam saves N$2bn on health procurement” is a dangerous headline when hospitals have no medicines. This seems PR by new players linked to international suppliers. They may be benefiting while patients go without basic medicines. Real question is:who is benefiting from these deals?

It’s fine. A World Cup with matches between Western Samoa and Namibia in R32 in a 80k college football stadium in the Midwest where the tickets cost more than the per capita GDP of both countries combined will find its TV rights being somewhat overshadowed by the Euro group match between Germany and Spain in the San Siro.
