News Flash: Paid Off media sites for WB is out here saying that GayFace has made its budget back this weekend 🤣🤣🤣 that's hilarious when the total budget is $70-80 million. It would need $140-160 just to break even, so how did you all get this number? Don't you know how to math🤣🤣🤣
Don't even think that it's second week will somehow make $50 million plus because that will be wishful thinking. Anyway let the COPIUM begin the DCU is dead!
There is only one universe that is in high demand for a return, want to make some serious money @DavidEllison @ParamountPics
@Skydance
All you have to do is:
#RestoreTheSnyderVerse

More than just streaming..
Warner Bros. Games and Paramount Games Studio merge a solid portfolio of AAA video gaming IP…
That IP includes Hogwarts Legacy, DC Universe, Mortal Kombat, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. 🎮
$NFLX $TTWO $RBLX
Skydance $SKYD: Meet the Assets (E6)
Warner Bros. Games & Paramount Games Studio 🎮
Skydance is transforming into a AAA video games publisher by combining Warner Bros. Games and Paramount Games Studio as it shifts Hollywood’s historical interactive strategy from passive licensing to active AAA game development and multi-platform publishing. Generating between $1.5 billion and $2.5 billion in annual revenue in strong years, the combined unit becomes the largest game publisher owned directly by a traditional film studio, placing it on par with mid-tier industry giants like Ubisoft.
The IP:
The flagship of Skydance’s portfolio is Hogwarts Legacy, the most successful title in both companies’ histories, which has sold over 40 million units and generated more than $1 billion in revenue. By claiming the #1 spot globally in its launch year, Hogwarts Legacy broke a nearly 15-year streak in which either Call of Duty or Grand Theft Auto dominated the global sales charts.
Warner Bros. Games IP
🎮 DC Universe: Batman: Arkham, Injustice, Suicide Squad, and broader DC Multiverse properties.
🎮 Wizarding World: Hogwarts Legacy and broader Harry Potter interactive titles under Portkey Games.
🎮 Mortal Kombat: NetherRealm Studios’ flagship fighting franchise, led by Mortal Kombat 11 (12M+ copies sold).
🎮 Middle-earth & LEGO: The Lord of the Rings action titles and TT Games’ extensive LEGO catalog (Star Wars, Marvel, DC).
🎮 Strategy & Cult Hits: Game of Thrones: Conquest, F.E.A.R., Scribblenauts, and Back 4 Blood.
Paramount Games Studio IP
🎮 Sci-Fi & Action: Star Trek, Mission: Impossible, and Top Gun.
🎮 Nickelodeon & Family: SpongeBob SquarePants, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
🎮 Cult Media & Horror: The Godfather, South Park, A Quiet Place, and World War Z.
The Pipeline/Slate:
🎮 Warner Bros. Games: Hogwarts Legacy 2, unannounced single-player DC/Arkham universe projects, next unannounced NetherRealm fighting project, ongoing support for Game of Thrones: Dragonfire.
🎮 Paramount Games Studio: Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, untitled Star Wars narrative action game (Amy Hennig/Skydance New Media), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin, Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game, Skydance Interactive VR projects, expanded casual/co-op SpongeBob and Star Trek titles.
LAYOFFS ARE COMING: Insiders are saying that massive layoffs for Warner employees are coming down the pipeline and major studios will be effected like DC Studios! Like I reported earlier many at DC Studios are very worried as the studio has not provided a major hit!

Can we please stop pretending that a movie making its production budget back at the box office means it's already profitable? Because that's not how this shit works.
CLAYFACE opened to roughly $43 MILLION worldwide against a reported $44 million production budget. Sounds great, right? Except $24.5 million of that came domestically, and theaters keep a percentage of ticket sales. Using the standard 50/50 estimate, Warner Bros. would see around $12.25 million. Add in the $19 million overseas, where studios generally receive a smaller percentage, and you're looking at roughly $20 million coming back to the distributor before expenses.
And that's before we even discuss marketing, which wasn't included in the reported budget. The movie also benefited from filming in the UK, where tax incentives can help reduce production costs. But those incentives don't magically mean the film is already profitable.
Now, CLAYFACE could absolutely become a financial success. It's got a manageable budget, positive audience reactions, Halloween coming up, and eventually digital and streaming revenue. There's a legitimate path forward here.
But people declaring victory because the worldwide gross nearly matches the production budget are skipping a pretty important part of the equation.
Box office gross is NOT studio revenue.
And profitability isn't determined by whichever number makes your favorite franchise look better.

I tried to warn all of the James Gunn fans that were attacking me for my reviews this was would be the case. #Clayface is actually a bigger flop than #Morbius.
I have inside information that if #Superman: Man of Tomorrow flops, Skydance will go back to the #Snyderverse
Clay didn't slay.
WB's CLAYFACE is the #1 movie in North America w/ a debut of $24M, but the DC brand itself is in a freefall.
You know what really sucks: even MORBIUS opened with $39M.

Alright Grace.... Hit em with some knowledge
"If DC Studios doesn't start making some money and charting, Ellison will likely bring in some new but old school blood to run DC studios"
Anyone saying #clayface "made its (44M+?) budget back" off of a 43M global return is an IDIOT and doesn't know how box office works and should just avoid speaking on box office going forward
This is truly embarrassing as a lifelong dc fan that we have so many unknowledgeable larpers among us
