That's not how you wear 37 pattern webbing. And... errr... Stand in the corner until you sort it out.

This caller is likely an AI, a walt or a bloater. To claim you were 17 at Goose Green in 1982 & purchased your first house at the age of 24 in 1984 is impossible. Disappointing this assertion was not robustly challenged.
"At 17, I fought my very first battle." Caller James says young people can’t have it 'hard' if they haven’t fought in a war and can afford a daily cola. @BenKentish replies that not all boomers went to war.

Exceptionally sharp programming by Channel 4 in The Experiment exploring how insidious the Nazi T-4 programme was, impact of messaging & propaganda... then staging it for 2026. Highly recommended viewing.

Provocatice & disruptive. I disagree (not least off 44 to 45 tactical data & a view that Ukraine is a curious petridish), but @Stu_Lyle lays out a compelling argument. Worth a read!
"Drones and massed artillery drove combatants into urban terrain, dense woodblocks and trenches." As @ArmyCGS calls for infantry to be more lethal from 0-40m, may I recommend my recent piece on exactly this type of extremely close combat. 👇 thinkdefence.co.uk/2026/09/t…

I was greatly saddened to hear of Geoff Leese's recent passing. In my very early 20s I went to Normandy alongside Gold Beach Group & enjoyed living history camps at Ver-sur-Mer & Tilly-sur-Seulles which radically shifted my view of what LH & public engagement can, and should, be. He was an astonishing pioneer & leaves a remarkable legacy. #WW2 #SWW #History

My Polish grandmother must have played down the 'neutral' element of her deportation to Siberia, along with the rest of her family. Katyń? No?
Anyone want to play 'Circle The Inaccuracies In A Single Paragraph'? Happy to advise on a rewrite, @HodderEducation

Online saturation of entry level WW2 content has exploded in the last decade. If it's generic or dated (which I suspect is the case)... they'll have likely heard it before.
In a class that is (this semester only) predominantly young men, none of the Freshmen and Sophomore guys cared about the weapons and technology of WW2. I wrote this lecture ~10 years ago, because I was getting so many questions about tanks, etc. Can I cut it, fellow profs?
