HB 396 and the Prime act were on my campaign site from day 1. Seeing how 396 failed and the nonsensical politics was absurd. NH Agricultural Department needs new leadership

We tried to put a stop to this in NH this term with HB360. It died in a committee of conference. I will be bringing this back.
🚩 DOES YOUR CHILD'S SCHOOL HAVE A HEALTH CLINIC YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT? If you're picturing the school nurse's office, think again. A growing number of schools now operate School-Based Health Centers (SBHCs) — full-service clinics that function as a child's "medical home." These centers can offer primary care, screenings, mental health counseling, dental and vision care, and sexual and reproductive health services, often run by outside providers rather than school staff. SBHCs aren't new, but they've expanded fast. In 2023, HHS put $25 million behind growing them nationwide, and the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act directed Medicaid to make it easier for schools to bill for these services. One stated goal is straightforward: overcoming parental barriers to vaccination. 🚨 WHERE IT GETS COMPLICATED FOR PARENTS: Many schools use a single, blanket consent-to-treat form signed at the start of the year — one signature that can cover far more than most parents realize. In some states, minor consent laws allow certain treatments without a parent ever being notified. Research shows SBHCs do increase vaccination rates, particularly for HPV, and vaccines can sometimes be given without a parent present or aware, depending on the forms already on file. Add to that ongoing behavioral and academic screenings that can flag a child for services, plus records that may be shared across providers and agencies, and it's easy to see why so many parents are asking more questions this year. 🚨 WHAT YOU CAN DO NOW: Ask whether your school has an SBHC, mobile clinic, or health partnership, and get a full list of providers and services for the year. Skip blanket consent forms, or if you've already signed one, request a copy and put your specific limits in writing. A non-consent form, restricting care to emergency first aid only, unless you're present, is worth considering for many families.

The New Hampshire Legislature will act to override the Governor’s veto on August 19. Every NH legislator will now face a crucial test: Will they vote to make meat more affordable and accessible? Thank you @jeffreytucker for this fantastic piece. Stay tuned. Activism efforts incoming.
“Restricting meat processing was an early intervention in commercial freedom. The year was 1906, the dawn of the Progressive Era. The new meat-processing industry was in trouble from bad press. Upton Sinclair’s novel “The Jungle” had become a best seller at a time when people were going wild for new books. The book caused profits to collapse and a huge return to traditional ways. The new industry organized, facing a threat to its profits, to get the federal government to declare their products safe with new inspections. Added benefit: inspections were expensive so only the biggest players could afford them, hence squeezing out the little guys… But at long last, one state is working to restore that freedom in light of rising prices for meat. It’s New Hampshire and the bill is HB 396.” theepochtimes.com/opinion/th…

The idea that a novel mass lockdown theory, likely derived from a child’s science fair project and never tried before covid in human history, saved people’s lives is purely insane. If you must consider cutting away at human liberty for safety (likely always a poor idea) one should use a scalpel… instead we used a machete with subtlety, data, reconsider of circumstances, etc, utterly ignored. The concept that mass lockdowns, masking, testing, or vaccine mandates saved lives has no real world data to support it.
Why should we still be discussing COVID in 2026? @Zigmanfreud: "this was the most important thing that's happened in the modern history of America...A lot of mistakes were made, it's incredibly important to understand why the mistakes were made." @askDinaDoll: "we would have had a lot more deaths if Fauci and others didn't close it down." What do you think? Via @cnnthestoryis

I haven’t had a good Covid rant in a while! It felt cathartic and still depressing. The Liberty Lobbyist: Covid, Congress, and the Fauci Files with @justin_hart Links in comments

I was repeatedly smeared as an anti-science conspiracy theorist for showing real world data in 2022 that proved the vaccine couldn’t prevent transmission- it was only potentially self protective. And therefore, removing moral and ethical objections, there was no scientific basis for mandating it. I once delivered several boxes full of studies to a legislative committee with all the data about this. The opposition had nothing to say other than “we know the vaccines work” with zero evidence to support their claims. But I was the “anti science” one.
June 2022 JIM JORDAN: “When the government told us that the vaccinated couldn’t transmit it, was that a lie or was that a guess?” DEBORAH BIRX: “I think it was hope that the vaccine would work in that way” The govt promoted its fantasies as facts.

That is two bills that became law today that help foster families. The other is HB1376, Relative to a parent's ability to raise their child in a manner consistent with the child's biological sex.

This is a massive win, congrats New Hampshire!
HB1219, the end of a very long saga since 2020 with NH DHHS, is now law without signature. All members of a foster family household can now get vaccine exemptions. No more hard and fast foster family mandates.

And a HUGE shout-out to @KristinNobleNH who took on this enormous task, managed the homeschooler misinformation minefields, incorporated feedback from dozens of constituencies and veteran homeschoolers, and was the bulldog who maneuvered this through the legislature.

HB1268 will be acted on (or not) this week. This is an important update to a bit of a messy statute/rules. This bill modernizes the statute and protects the autonomy of homeschool families while keeping current protections intact for children. nhjournal.com/michelotti-hb1…
