Of the money raised by his PAC, more than $100,000 came directly from sugar interests (U.S. Sugar, Florida Crystals and the Sugar Cane Growers Cooperative); another $2.2 million from PACs that get a significant portion of their funding from sugar interests; a $10,000 donation from the Florida Phosphate Political Committee and a second from phosphate mining giant Mosaic, respectively; $135,000 from FPL parent NextEra Energy Capital Holdings Inc. and $100,000 from Teco Energy.
So basically: Of the $7.8 million raised by Simpson’s PAC, at least one-third came from those three key special interests.
He gets a “dirty” ranking.

As a lawyer - the destruction of our privacy rights is making me sick. It is getting worse by the day and people seem unaware that it’s happening.
The implementation of digital ID in the U.S. is not driven by a single law, but rather by updates to existing regulations, primarily based on the “Patriot Act,” post-9/11, trade our freedom for security mindset.
The most relevant laws facilitate digital identification through state-issued Mobile Driver's Licenses (mDLs) and set the foundational technical requirements.
This thread gives an overview of the laws and regulations, along with the relevant text, that provide and facilitate digital ID in the United States.

For those in the political balcony upset that they are being questioned for laying extremely large thumbs on the primary voting scale, I think I need to make a few things perfectly clear.
Covid tyranny changed a lot of us - forever. Sitting by and mindlessly voting for politicians that we assumed would protect our freedoms and our rights was forever abolished from our minds. Both parties - both - let us down. Neither can claim the moral high ground during Covid or even now (see Bill Cassidy).
Our rights were trampled on with lockdowns, unscientific masks, school closures, churches closed but bars opened. Small businesses destroyed while large box stores made record profits. The largest transfer of wealth in the history of the United States. If we complained we were told to shut up for the good of the community.
Big, beautiful jabs were allowed by one party to be distributed without proper studies and mandated by another. The data coming out very soon was what we projected years ago, but no one heard us because both parties allowed, no, encourage for us to be banned from social media.
So pardon me for looking at the party I gave 40+ years of service, devotion, and money in a different way. Pardon me if cast a critical eye on both parties when you do something I think is wrong. Pardon me for wanting a voice in who we vote for - whether there is an incumbent or not. Pardon me for thinking pre-primary endorsement is a corrupt antithesis of natural term limits.
And pardon the heck out of me for wanting the next election of governor, CFO, AG and all of our other state and federal representatives to be more like the ONLY leader in both parties who was courageous enough to go against the world to fight for our freedoms. Who defended us against freaking hurricanes’ aftermaths instead of off raising money for a political party in another state. Who put us before lobbyists and big corporations. Who is not afraid to do the right thing when no one is looking.
But hey, if you want to call me a paid democrat instigator (which I clearly am none of the above), that is okay. Dems dislike me too. And believe me, I was called a lot worse during Covid by Biden and his ilk.
But look who is still standing. And telling truths.
