There’s this meme that is just a comic where someone is holding someone else’s lips closed and the caption is just “let people enjoy things” but the reverse is absolutely ALSO true. Let people NOT enjoy things. I hate Spirit Island. But if you like it, great! It’s that simple.

When I see people whinging online about things being “too negative” generally comes from the admin of a Facebook group I’m a part of. Every other month or so, he makes a long post about “what do we do about negativity in the hobby?” It’s not real, though-it’s engagement farming

Critical is good. I’m sick of seeing everything get praised, even if it hasn’t earned it. Toxic positivity is a thing, and it’s starting to really creep into board gaming. It’s already metastasized in the video game space. Sunk cost fallacy also plays a HUGE role, in my opinion.

Is there a full track list or something for this game? There’s like 6 songs that I want to listen to, but I can’t find them anywhere, even with Shazam. Also, would it kill you to just let me… BUY the radio?

I’d also say that some people will play a game they absolutely hated and watch board game content to see if they’re alone in their thinking or not. Kinda fits with the self-validation, but with a little nuance, I think.

Please please PLEASE tell me the Watermelon Dragonfruit Splash isn’t just a limited time only thing. I have had 1-2 energy drinks every single day for the last 15 years, and that flavor allowed me to quit caffeine ENTIRELY. I can’t find them now, and it’s really bumming me out.
Now that @SchwansCompany is apparently shutting down, I really hope someone out there can bring back MaMa Rosa’s pizzas.

The way this reads makes it sound like the game spontaneously gets up and runs away. Honestly, a terrifying thought.
Had to reset DAYS of progress on #Fallout4 #FarHarbor because @bethesda hasn’t fixed a glitch causing a questgiver NPC to just disappear. If you’re on PC, you can use console commands, but if you’re on console, you’re just screwed. This glitch has been around for at least 7 years

Watching @AvatarNetflix, and I can’t help but think two seasons ahead to the hilarious episode where Team Avatar watches a play about themselves. I would absolutely die if the original cast reprised their roles. #AvatarNetflix

Boys in The Trees. I don’t really buy movies, and since it’s an Australian movie, and I’m in the states, it was hard to find a physical copy, but I got one because this is easily one of my favorites of all time.
Also, House at the End of Time. Trippy as all get out and amazing

One on the left seems kinda…pbbt. Sterile. One on the right paints a picture of me sitting in the wilderness with a sketchbook drawing the majesty of all that surrounds me.

I dislike pinging in this game a lot. I play on console and going from pushing R1 to shifting how I hold the controller to push up on the D-pad is a lot harder than simply pushing R1. I also have this issue where I’ll try and tag a guard and just put down a generic marker.

You see someone get struck by lightning, and they say, “yeah, that’s happened more than once”
