With the amount of corruption in Brazil, we should have seen it coming that Lula would find the votes in the runoff
BREAKING: Brazil’s election authority declares Lula the winner of the Brazilian presidential election. He has 51.76% with 99.8% of the votes counted. The Bolsonaro team is likely to challenge the result in court after the Supreme Court Justice Zanin extended voting nationwide by 2 hours on Lula’s request

Main difference between Canadian and USA metros is that USA metros have high concentration of black voters which are inelastic to voting for conservatives, whereas in Canada there's very few black and a very high asian population
Reminder this is one of the most liberal metro areas in the world and tonight looks like this

There is no 2018 blue wave. They are panicking because Rs have a good chance of keeping control of the senate
Internal polling from both sides show Republicans closing the gap in the Midwest Per Politico In a shift from earlier this month Democrats are privately warning they might not get 2018-level numbers

This POS is still jealous that DeSantis has overshadowed his entire career in Florida He would easily lose a primary to DeSantis
Florida should never be down in tourism, and it being down for the second quarter in a row is concerning — it means less jobs and less revenue for Florida families. Good thing our next governor, @ByronDonalds, cares deeply about this issue! Make sure to vote for him and encourage your friends and family to do so. Florida has the best beaches. The best amusement parks. The best fishing. The best views. We gotta get back on track, and Byron will be the governor to do that.

if DeSantis isn't president in 2028, he has to primary out Donalds in 2030 (which good chance he does)
Going from Ron DeSantis to Donalds (or Jolly) is going to be a brutal downgrade for Floridians. The good news is that Ron DeSantis can run for governor again in four years (if he isn't already in another job 😉).

The difference is that she's black
Angie Nixon seems to have activated a voter base that looks pretty different from other democratic socialists. For one, Nixon did best in the *least* college-educated counties in Florida -- she won them by 30 (!) points. washingtonpost.com/politics/…

Those internals must be horrible lol
WaPo: Chuck Schumer says Democrats don’t necessarily need to win Michigan to flip control of the US Senate. “A path to winning back the Senate clearly goes through Michigan, but we have a whole bunch of different paths,” Schumer said. washingtonpost.com/politics/…

I think DeSantis liked Renner the most but knew he had no chance of winning because Collins and Fishback were making more noise as anti-Byron choices The fact that Byron got under 50% with basically the entire GOP machine support, and Trump endorsement shows he was vulnerable

There's also only 5 seats this time that the GOP can win so obviously turnout will be lower for house primaries The margin is within 20% for the attorney general race
Pending some final ballots, it looks like Democrats will win the House primaries in California by 30%, roughly 65-35. This is a larger margin than any statewide race, and represents an 10% shift from the 2024 results. Notably, this is actually better than Dems performance in 2018 primaries, when Republicans failed to contest 6 seats (versus 1 this time).

10% in polling while 40% of primary voters are undecided makes no sense This is so rigged for Byron lol
JUST IN: Florida GOP officially released their requirements to qualify for their gubernatorial debate As I reported earlier in the week: •10% in polling •$10 million raised •10,000 donors Only Byron Donalds has reached this very low bar. The other candidates aren’t even close. So there will just be a forum where each candidate gets time to speak, no debate. Don’t shoot the messenger

She's the only republican senator left in a blue state Maine Republicans need to support her like their life depends on it cause she could save the Rs the senate
🚨 NOW: President Trump ENDORSES Sen. Susan Collins (R) for reelection in Maine against psycho leftist Graham Platner (D) It's worth noting Collins voted for the voter ID + proof of citizenship-only version of the SAVE America Act on the Senate floor just DAYS ago! 🇺🇸 Platner would NEVER do that. TRUMP: "She's a sane woman. She's not my best friend at all...she's a person that never missed a vote in many years. I mean, she's like 10,000 votes. She had 10,000 votes. She never missed a vote. Unfortunately, because sometimes she voted against me!" "You know, look, she's a sane woman, and she's a respected person. Maybe a little different ideology than me. But this guy is a thug." "He's a fake thug. He's a phony. I made a lot of money picking out phonies. He's a real phony. He's a bad person."
