Horses embody the spirit of America, and it's time to end the brutal & dangerous practice of slaughtering them for human consumption. As a former horse owner, I'm proud to lead this bipartisan effort with @VernBuchanan. We owe it to our horse companions to protect their welfare.
Rep. Vern Buchanan

Time is running out for Congress to pass the SAFE Act. It would ban horse slaughter in the U.S. and the export of American #horses for slaughter. Call 202-225-3121; urge your rep to push for movement of the SAFE Act (H.R. 3355) to end horse slaughter. #yes2safe #nohorseslaughter
