Economic freedom is the first and foremost of all freedoms. If you don't own what you create, and you cannot use that as you choose to purchase what you want, then you are a slave that can vote. Democracy is irrelevant in socialism.

If Talarico wins it will be because Paxton was a ruinously flawed candidate who should not have been the nominee. Complaining about the voters is for losers.
If Talarico wins, which I still find unlikely, this will be why.

Mary Peltola has no record to run on, so she and DC Democrats decided to cheat. Mary Peltola has looked Alaskans in the eyes for the past year and a half and lied to them. – at Alaska, USA

Because the New York Times is known for its conservative bias?
#AlaskaSenate Mary Peltola weighs in on NYT story that the DSCC recruited the fake Dan Sullivan to run. β€œThis is all stuff to sell newspapers. This is all stuff to get subscriptions. Nobody at the New York Times cares about affordability in Alaska. This is just another distraction.” Video credit: @MattTunseth

In a just world this would end her campaign. Fingers crossed that her corrupt actions are not rewarded.
NEW β€” The New York Times reports that aides to Mary Peltola’s campaign and senior DSCC officials helped recruit Daniel J. Sullivan to enter Alaska’s Senate race. Peltola’s campaign and the DSCC deny the claim.

Small scooplet in this story: Jim Wright, the outgoing Republican chairman of the Texas Railroad Commission, said he did not vote for @bofrench Wright lost to French in May's GOP runoff. He didn't say if he voted for @Jon_RosenthalTX dallasnews.com/news/politics…

This should be disqualifying. Mary Peltota doesn't deserve to be rewarded for her deception.
BREAKING: Sen @lisamurkowski just provided the Landmine with this powerful statement following the @nytimes scathing article on @MaryPeltola’s involvement in the Decoy Dan Sullivan scheme: β€œWhile some may try to write this off as just how politics works now, ballot-stacking should have no place in our electoral process. Run and win on your merits: your views, your policy ideas, and your accomplishments. By contrast, recruiting candidates to manipulate the field and influence voting outcomes is simply wrong. Alaskans deserve the honest truth from Mary and her campaignβ€”what has been revealed is a pattern of lies and coverups and a culture of deception that belongs nowhere in our elections or among our elected officials.”

LOL, the problem here isn't GWB or @JohnCornyn. Not even close to being the problem. You were all warned what would happen. You wanted to eat this shit sandwich and try to force the rest of us to eat it, too. You wanted the very worst candidate that you could find. You got him!
If John Cornyn and George W. Bush loved America they would put personal differences w/Ken Paxton aside and support his candidacy for the sake of Texas and the nation. Their unforgivable silence tells us EVERYTHING about them. VOTE FOR KEN PAXTON!

Literally the same in Texas. We are doing our best to give this state to the Democrats and that will be the end of the Republican party as viable.
Utah should pay attention to what is happening Arizona Arizona did not turn blue because of a major shift in the electorate but because the GOP went nuts and nominated a bunch of crazies. If the Utah GOP has their way, the state will be blue in ten years

Plus a number of those R voters will not be voting crooked Ken Paxton.
There are 266,012 more GOP primary voters in Texas than there are democratic primary voters. The democratic edge thru 8 days of early vote remains intact at a 99,615 edge And as you read the report, starting to see 1/4 R primary voters starting to slow down and stop turning out

I respect Liz Cheneyon this issue but she has it backwards. Mitch McConnell didn't vote for conviction, sadly, because he didn't have the votes. No one is better at counting heads or rallying votes.
Former Rep. @Liz_Cheney (R-WY) says she believes President Trump would have been convicted if Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) decided to convict: "I think if he had voted to convict, we would have had enough Republicans who would have followed him that he would've been convicted."

Also, most Republicans had no idea that Trump hadn't just ended his political career forever. After trying to overthrow the government, people thought that America would be done with him. It was a failure of imagination as much as a failure of character.

America first. Not party first. Character matters.
GOP Texas State Rep. Dade Phelan on why top Republicans are breaking with the party in the Senate race between Ken Paxon and James Talarico: β€œThe fact that you're hearing very prominent, lifelong Republicans… actually endorsing and voting for the Democrat is pretty telling.”
