I can't tell you how many reformed bros on here I've heard basically say the same thing.
Or me, probably
If your kid's "Christian" college isn't inviting @MrsErikaKirk to speak -- or inviting me -- you should rethink paying tuition there. We are in an existential crisis. Know which side you're funding.

Yall Pete Holmes is nowhere close to anything resembling orthodox Christianity by profession. He’s basically Hindu
Sam’s Town by the Killers and Welcome to the Black Parade by MCR both came out in 2006 and we were blackpilling?
"Liturgically speaking, what we call classical Anglican eucharistic sacramental theology is only verbally expressed in the Scottish-American prayer book tradition -- and not fully expressed until almost two hundred years after the first English prayer book, in a prayer book never authorized by the Church of England." Olver and Jennings, "Turning Points in Prayer Book History"
Just a mind-bending sentence of unbelievable self-refuting proportions.
I think one of my favorite online moments from the last few years is when Chadd Wright told Joe Rogan,
"You know, I'm wondering, Joe, if the Almighty ain't callin' you"
This is pretty much, thought for thought, exactly what I said 8 hours ago.
I'd actually argue that horror is the most Christian genre of film. Obviously that's not true of the torture porn stuff -- films in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre tradition -- but supernatural horror is often subtly Christian and sometimes very explicitly Christian. It's the only category of film where the supernatural, demons, spirits, exorcisms, the Church, etc, are consistently taken seriously. The only genre where the priest might actually be the good guy. Horror has deep roots in Christian thought and tradition.
Horror is, perhaps unexpectedly, one of the most Christian genres of films. Now, a caveat is that most of what gets made today is aesthetically gross and filthy, but the central ideas of horror are often deeply Christian themes: the reality of evil, the inescapability of judgement, supernatural malevolence, the desire for evil to destroy that which is pure , and ultimately the triumph of righteousness and light over evil.

Honestly, love that JHowe is getting more attention.
He thinks he wants it, but if he was smart really wouldn’t.

Seriously how do these people not see all of this is exactly what Keller would have championed
The number of Christians fretting over this partnership is emblematic of the Loser Theology @dmichaelclary describes in his book.
We should champion Christians making inroads into cultural strongholds held by the enemy. We want their influence inside Disney. Nothing I’ve seen from them would indicate that they will compromise in this partnership.
Not that long ago, Disney had many strong Christians in high places of creative power. We don’t have to accept cultural defeat.
