"Price is what you pay, value is what you get" - @pablomalend62 Value encompasses much more than price, it captures feeling, emotion, connection....relationship As an example, in the last NFT bull market, you had @cryptopunks run up to astronomical price levels, simultaneously you had a number of holders rejecting offers in the millions of dollars while others accepted those offers and exiting the community, value is subjective In robust networks, assets can represent identity, brand value, relationships, community, belief systems....belonging I posit that its much more important to focus on promoting and encouraging "community / brand building" , than focusing on short term price appreciation at the cost of culture Culture develops as a result of the principles undergirding belief systems. These principles have to be embodied by project and community leaders, and consistently reflected in their behaviors and decisions over long periods of time Integrity can be observed over time, and integrity is probably the most important attribute a leader can have When integrity is married with vision, focus, and work ethic, you attract others similarly aligned. The goal should be to create incentives that allow people to self select into what you are selling: "I am here to make you think, not to make you money" - @jackbutcher Over a long enough period of time, price will become a better approximation of value, as a community is able to grow in the number/quality of believers who are aligned to the community ethos - and willing to add more value that they extract Astute leaders are able to leverage the community as a resource in driving shared goals, while at the same time empowering the community to autonomously expand by imbibing the qualities that attracted them into the network in the first place
