Nice write up on our farming system in the @FarmersGuardian 🐑😊
🐑 In farming, life often comes full circle and no one illustrates that better than Rhys Edwards.
He runs a flock of 520 Welsh Texel Mules alongside his parents, Russell and Eira, at Hendre Ifan Goch near Bridgend, South Wales.
Having previously finished lambs off grass using a 21-day rotational grazing system, the family's approach has evolved in recent years.

Our LFA board delegates met at Russell, Eira and Rhys Edwards' farm in Bridgend today.
The family use EID recording, have been involved with the Ram Compare project and GrassCheck GB. They also have a hydro & other diversifications on-farm. A great knowledge exchange opportunity

Here I go again! Media siding with the supermarkets. All farmers want is a fair price, they’ve already upped the price for you as the consumer why can’t it filter down to us so we can cover costs?? #payfarmersfair – at Wales, United Kingdom
Good turn out in todays open day and showcase what we are doing here on farm, probably last one for a good while as most of our project work comes to an end! #needabiggeryard #sheep365 #untilthenextproject – at Wales, United Kingdom

Anyone done a COP on what lambs should be making liveweight/deadweight for 2022 NSL given the feed/fertiliser/energy price increases? 😬-
obviously there is v different management systems but a guide.
Very curious given lamb price has stayed the same since December!?! #sheep365 – at Wales, United Kingdom

Seem to have plenty of silage here this year, 2nd cut lasting well atm, even though we are feeding 3T a day to the ewes 🤯 #sheep365
