Gonna add my two cents to this Sonic characterization discourse and say Sonic being a static character doesn't mean he can't show emotion. It just has to be done in a way that fits his character

We are so blown away by the response to the audio book project. Here is a thread of our full deck to learn how to audition for our 14 roles! We encourage everyone to share this and audition—maybe you can be Sonic and Amy in the glade! ⚔️🌹 (1/2) Art by @_rat_riot

Have no fear, Amy Rose is here! With AO3 down, Bee is working on uploading all 38 chapters of her (completed) SonAmy fic, “What Was Stolen”, on Tumblr!

You can like other Sonic or Amy ships (or ships for the other characters) better but people call it THE ship because it's the ship that's the main face of the game and most other media part of the franchise.

"Sonamy is a nice ship, but it's not *THE* ship—there are many better ones in the fandom. At best, it's in the top 5 or 3, and that's being generous."
