The *vast* majority of the American public does not support mass deportations for migrants who have no criminal record. These people work and pay taxes and have families here.
People on X can yell and scream about it, but they fact is they're out of touch with most people.
Of the 63 people on a July 30th deportation flight to Africa, 60 Minutes found that 19% had been charged with or convicted of crimes, including theft, assault, drug offenses and weapons possession. The remaining 81% had either traffic violations or no criminal record at all.
In response, Department of Homeland Security lawyer James Percival said: “This administration is following the law that Congress has passed. There are a lot of people in this population that we talk about who committed very serious crimes. And people should be very happy with President Trump for getting these serious criminals out of the country.” cbsn.ws/4ihmFF3

Seems like Simon & Shuster’s not exactly quaking in their boots from the threats made by Jared’s lawyers
New: Amid legal threats from Jared Kushner over explosive allegations published in a Vanity Fair excerpt, Simon & Schuster quietly expedited the release of Matthew Cole’s Princes and Thieves, with the book now available for purchase two days early

Has there ever been a Putin proposal that the Trump administration has not endorsed, or at least entertained seriously?

This ad is vile. One thing that's so despicable about far-left hatred of Israel is how quickly they just glide past the fact that Israel was subject to horrific terrorist violence. One does not have to agree with all Israeli policies (I certainly don't) to know that this is a grotesque caricature.
New low for normalized Jew-hate in the American Democratic Party. Very sad:
Painting your political opponents as puppets of Jews, as this El-Sayed ad does, and as crazed baby-killers and money-grubbing villains who are the root cause of every bad thing not just in the world, but in your life—from wars to the price of eggs to the reason you can’t have free healthcare—is not just low-grade Jew-hate. It’s pure Third Reich stuff, translated directly from the original German.
Do you remember when Jewish Democrats in Michigan explained that they would vote for El-Sayed despite his open disdain for Jews, since there are many other important issues they need him to fight for? That anything was worth it to “defeat MAGA”?
Well, here’s El-Sayed’s answer to them: Don’t worry, all those issues we agree on, like healthcare, inflation, and climate change, I’m going to make them about Jews too! I will tell the public that the Jews are the reason they can’t have those things.

Call me crazy, but I am actually more critical of Putin than Norway. But to each his own, I guess.
WARNING: STRONG LANGUAGE
President Trump escalated his invective against Norway, calling it a ‘shit house country’ and saying Norwegian immigrants are not welcome in the United States because the Nobel committee, based in the capital Oslo, has not awarded him a Peace Prize reut.rs/3U1joSt

I'm hardly "younger folks." And I don't recall Reagan and Clinton trying to surrender a Western ally to a Russian invasion. Trump isn't keeping an enemy close. He's love-bombing a war criminal.

I guess younger folks don’t remember relationships between Reagan/Gorbachev and Clinton/Yeltsin! Keep your friends close and your enemies closer!

I grew up going to Cheesecake Factory. My 16th birthday was at an Applebee's. And I am not offended by this, because it's possible to hold those chains in high, nostalgic regard (as I do) while thinking the White House shouldn't imitate them. It's OK.

The only warmongers are in the Kremlin. Europe and our allies support Ukraine in its self-defence in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter. It really shouldn’t be that hard to grasp.

He is not the only taking about this horrendous, tragic loss of life.
No one I know in Ukraine or Europe wants the war to continue.
There is only person who does— Putin.
He also could end the war immediately.
So if you are serious about promoting peace, you have to execute a strategy that convinces Putin to stop fighting.
Everything else is virtue signaling.
How come Elon Musk is the only one seriously talking about all these young people dying in the trenches for no reason and begging for this war to stop? Innocent young Ukrainians and Russian conscripts are getting blown apart by drones, losing their lives
And then you look at Europe. What do you only keep hearing from so many European leaders? More weapons, more ammunition, more military support. “We cannot let Russia win”
You almost never hear them seriously talking about how to bring peace and end this war for good
Why the hell aren't those same leaders putting that much energy into figuring out how to stop this meat grinder?
What are these leaders actually doing to stop young people from dying every single day? What are they doing to end this endless slaughter? Why aren't they putting the same urgency into finding a way to end this war instead of constantly talking about sending more weapons and how they should continue this war forever?
These are human beings. They have parents, families, loved ones, and entire lives ahead of them. And they're dying in trenches because of decisions made by people who will never have to experience what those young soldiers are going through
And that includes the poor Russian conscripts who have no choice but to fight. They're human beings too. Their lives matter too
How many more young people need to die before stopping this war becomes just as important as deciding who wins it?
Why does it take Elon Musk to keep reminding people about the human lives being destroyed by this war?
Seriously, where the hell is the urgency to stop all this killing? everyone who wants to continue this war is pure evil

Same old story. Free speech is essential until they control the platforms. There’s too much billionaire money in politics until it’s their money. Too much debt until they’re in charge of spending. The Dems are too soft on defense until it’s time to kiss Putin’s ass.

Trump supporters delight in Trump’s cruelty, of course, but they also engage in their own vile speech and actions as a virtual initiation rite into the MAGA movement — it’s the way that they demonstrate that they have the "courage" necessary to take on the left.
This perversion of the concept of courage is central to the MAGA ethos. In MAGA’s account of history, the Republican Party before Trump was a collection of cowards and quislings — people who knew the right thing to do but refused to do so because they were desperate for the approval of progressives. nytimes.com/2026/10/25/opini…

russian soldiers, like any other terrorists, had a choice not to take part in terror. Ukrainians had no choice about being invaded.
Yet somehow, @elonmusk , your sympathy is reserved for the Russian “kids” who came to kill, rather than the Ukrainian kids they came to kill.
Replying to @skscartoon
The endless slaughter of Ukrainian and Russians must stop.
We should some sympathy for the poor Russian conscripts too. Those kids have no choice but to fight and die in drone strikes.

10 years? Maybe one, while the Russian occupation policy of murder, rape, torture, and kidnapping would expand immediately. Putin needs war. There’s no off-ramp, no victory other than the destruction of Ukraine. He cannot reintegrate a million soldiers back into a failed economy.
