This was a massive hit back in 1971. Not my book of course - the song. If you were around in 1971, do you remember who sang it, and in what production? (Only 47 more sleeps to go) #TheCross āœž Nov 24, 2026

Elon Musk is without a doubt the most grotesque example of extreme wealth being mistaken for virtuous genius that I’ve ever seen, no contest. A dude whose business empire has had the exceptional luxury of upwards of $38 BILLlON in government contracts, loans, subsidies, and tax credits that lectures us on government waste, fraud, and abuse. He takes a literal fucking chainsaw to government aid, while hundreds of thousands die from the lack of access, and simultaneously engorges himself at the public pig trough of endless money. He then takes the grift cash to buy elections, outright rig them, gains extraordinary access to the backrooms and convinces panting sycophants that he’s ā€œfighting the establishment.ā€ He IS the establishment. Years and years of missed deadlines, self driving promises just around the corner. Spectacular theatrical marketing presentations presented as new technology, with an army of ball riding zombies to explain why his latest failure is actually evidence of 5D chess wizardry. All in line to be the friend he doesn’t have. He was emailing Epstein to find about the ā€œwildest partiesā€ on child rape island, and you people still clamber. Speaking of mouth breathing followers, the cult surrounding him is even more disturbingly dangerous. Every glaring contradiction becomes an insult worthy misunderstanding. Every dumb comment is a masterpiece. Every legitimate totally fair criticism becomes proof that the questioner is stupid, jealous, or secretly working against humanity itself. It’s so blatantly a cult. At what point does this bizarre admiration become deliberately and completely giving up independent thought? You can acknowledge the success of his companies and the remarkable engineering feats without cosplaying that he’s some infallible prophet. And give his employees some credit. He’s a trillionaire with huge political influence, a pretty pathetic appetite for public attention indicative of someone that’s insecure, and a documented history of promise after promise that he doesn’t deliver on. Please, don’t confuse money with intelligence. They rarely go hand in hand. Also, realize that proximity to great power is not synonymous with moral authority. The truth is historically the opposite. And for fucks sake, stop worshipping people who wouldn’t piss on you if you were on fire.

Let's be honest here. After the never ending circus Australians have witnessed from the pro-Israel lobby over the past couple of years, selling chocolate crackles would put "fear into the Jewish community." Everything and anything is hijacked by them and inflated with their own special brand of puffery and paranoia. .

Cash went on to claim that this nomination may cause ā€œfear within the Jewish communityā€ Fear over a nomination? I’d take upset, angry, jealous, embarrassed, not fearful. Australians are sick of politicians who lie to protect Israel.

Israel is the so-called western peace-keeper of the middle east, and they brandish that as their weapon They've worked at a dedicated, planned, decades long task of enmeshing themselves in western democracies through money, guilt, power and blackmail (just look at Jeffrey Epstein) They've played the long-game. There are over 200 separate Jewish/Israeli organisations in Australia, probably more. A lot of them have been quietly working away with their soft diplomacy and propaganda for years. This influence didn't just happen overnight - they've worked at it

.@AlboMP @AnikaWells do you think it’s acceptable for a news org to be this fixated with one person’s family for so long? Do you think that’s …. Normal? 8000+ or so articles in 5 years. 300+ opinion columns by Janet A since 2021.
News24 made me ā€˜Wally of the Week’ for campaigning for media regulation, arguing the Guardian refused to join the Press Council. Exactly my point. Publishers can just opt out of being regulated. Call me shonky all you like @carolinemarcus for demanding a better press in Aust.

Here it is in a nutshell. The #NACC is - as I keep yelling - not a corruption investigation unit at all. It's not. It's a public-service, education & teaching unit. A very expensive $80 million a year one, that does no corruption investigation at all but instead, 'educates'.

The job of the NACC is to placate the people with concerns about the level of corruption in high places, not address the corruption in high places. The NACC is for corruption what anaesthetic injections are for infected root canals.

The primary resources of the #NACC are being used to travel extensively, attend conferences, give speeches and work on case studies and information dissemination Very little of their resources go into what people voted for, or what people imagined they would do, which is investigating corruption In short - their main job is to talk about their job

There is a very, very big threat going unacknowledged here - men's violence against women. Everybody has been very quick to call it political violence because yes, it involves violence against a politician. But very few people* are acknowledging it is men's violence against women, even though it involves a man's violence against a woman. Why is that? *meaning men, because women have certainly been yelling about it non-stop since it happened. Women are everywhere talking about this and so very tellingly, very few are listening. . xitter.cf/PatMcGorry/status/2114…
The horrific attack on Helen Haines revealed 2 threats to Australian society. The surge in abuse of & threat to our elected representatives & the threadbare state of State mental health systems which must be completely rebuilt. Community safety at stake. We can’t jail this away.

Everyone is saying it. ā€œListen to the ABC news - more likely to cover a storm in US mid-west than details of the Australian labour market. Or a random shooter in some wretched town down south. Of course it covers every brain-fart of Trump, but stuff-all on unfolding economic issues in Australia.ā€
That is very bad news. The ABC has such a low priority on economics & markets that a small team is left to carry the can on the most important issue for society - the economy. Shows like Insiders rarely mention economic issues, let alone debate them. So too podcasts like Politics Now where we know more about the presenters children's thoughts on politics than analysis of what is happening in the economy. The ABC funds juvenile shows like Planet America as part of its saturation coverage of things in the US. Listen to the ABC news - more likely to cover a storm in US mid-west than details of the Australian labour market. Or a random shooter in some wretched town down south. Of course it covers every brain-fart of Trump, but stuff-all on unfolding economic issues in Australia. Bad move ABC, but go well David!

Proud to attend today’s rally calling for an end to male violence against women. More men are calling this scourge out but it’s still not nearly enough. Come on guys, we all need to do more to stop misogyny and the senseless slaughter of women.

What a bizarre thing to post @ClareONeilMP We, the Australian public aren't responsible for how politicians behave in parliament. We're not responsible for how you behave in public either. We're not responsible for what you claim is a lack of public knowledge about how it works behind the scenes. That's on all of you. All of you. Why are you lecturing us about a perception and behaviour problem that's yours to fix and yours alone? It's like putting up a whole collection of ugly curtains in your own house and going next door to berate your neighbour about them. . xitter.cf/ClareONeilMP/status/21…
Politics definitely contains lots of conflict. But the whole picture is much more than that. Did you know roughly 80 per cent of legislation passes the Parliament with the support of every party? A lot of our work is about compromise, partnership and bipartisanship. I wish you got to see more of that.

Violence against a politician is instantly and readily labelled as political violence by Albanese, our political leaders and the media. Regardless of motive and intent, they say it is so purely because it is violence against someone who is a politician. Logical, yes? Violence against a woman by a man, is male violence against women. Regardless of motive or intent, It is precisely so, purely because it is violence by a man against a woman. This is not a discussion about motive or intent, it is a statement about what is. Not sure why so many people can not understand that simple logic and/or refuse to name the hard part out loud. It is male violence against women. Yet again, day in, day out, week in, week out - angry, violent men. .

In September 1933, the Nazis passed the Reichserbhofgesetz, (Hereditary Farm Law). That law explicitly stated only those of 'German or related blood' could own or inherit agricultural land, meaning Jewish farmers were barred from owning, operating, owning or inheriting farmland. Any Jewish person working on farms was required to have accompanying documents and paperwork. Don't kid yourselves you're not Nazis. They taught you well. You're Nazis. . xitter.cf/IDF/status/21129068318…
Earlier today, a number of harvesters, accompanied by dozens of individuals, arrived to conduct an uncoordinated olive harvest in an area near Beitar Illit. Harvesting in this area requires a request to be submitted to the relevant authorities in advance of the start of the olive harvest season. This coordination is necessary to ensure the security of the area and maintain public order. Due to the security risk posed by conducting an uncoordinated harvest near an Israeli community, IDF soldiers, Border Police forces in Judea and Samaria, and officers from the Judea and Samaria District Police arrived at the scene and detained those present. The landowner was informed that he must coordinate the olive harvest on his plot of land and was provided with the relevant contact information to arrange a harvest at a later date. It should be emphasized that authorized olive harvests have taken place and continue to take place. To date, approximately 100 coordinated harvests have been conducted across Judea and Samaria, yielding many dozens of tons of produce, with security provided and coordination by the security forces, without any unusual incidents. In areas designated for coordinated harvesting, only harvesters will be permitted to enter, solely for the purpose of harvesting. As in previous years, security forces are working to facilitate a safe and orderly olive harvest season, with a firm commitment to enabling harvesting without unusual incidents or interruptions, alongside their ongoing defensive and counterterrorism missions.
