The options market reveals that yesterday's panic was heavily accelerated by structural mechanics, not just organic selling:
The QQQ Netex Mirage: QQQ Netex underwent a violent swing, closing at -$755 million down from +$233 million the prior session. However, tape architecture shows this negative GEX was heavily concentrated in a massive 0DTE put cluster at the 740 strike. Now that these have expired, a significant portion of that dealer short-gamma selling pressure is off the table.
The SPX Magnet: On the S&P side, the market gapped down to ,7520 before a fierce intraday short-covering rally back to 7,584.
