If this is true, that is absolutely unacceptable to fly him out there, let alone play in the game.
#Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, who is out for the season after several blood clots were revealed in his lungs, has been undergoing tests for days.
Before the London game, Hurts was in the hospital until 4 am and did not sleep because sleep was a risk. He played without having slept.

Kudos to this journalist for going above and beyond.
I think the "we have to live there after retirement" statement is the most telling of why he did it.
I would imagine living in Russia and not openly aligning yourself with the regime wouldn't go over well.
After quietly answering questions about his support for Putin’s agenda in a press conference, Alex Ovechkin said, “Let’s do hockey questions.” I spoke with him after and asked Russia questions until he ended the interview.
“I wanted to know more about the process of filming the ad. When did you shoot it?”
AO: “I think three weeks ago.”
“Did you tell the team you were doing it?”
AO: “No.”
“Were you surprised by the backlash?”
AO: “I'm surprised, but it is nothing you can change right now. I'm Russian, I'm gonna live there when I'm done. My kids gonna be there. My family's gonna be there, you know, I support my country. That's it.”
“I think the reason for the backlash being bigger this time is because of what Lavrov says about countries bringing “the sword” to Russia. When I talk to experts about that, it mimics messaging Russians get that says Ukraine is responsible for being invaded by Russia. So you standing behind him, as he says that, feels to people like a pro war stance.”
AO: “Well, I don't think it's a pro war. I think it's just support what's happening in Russia. I want the peace and love for everybody. It doesn't matter who you are, American, Russian, or Ukrainian. Like, I have lots of friends who are Ukrainians, and I hope everything's gonna be good, and everything's gonna be done soon.”
“It'll be done soon if Putin stops the invasion. Like, that's how it ends.”
AO: “Well, I'm not in politics. I can’t say who's right and who's wrong.”
“In that larger group, there were about 30 people with you, One of the people is Maria Lvova Belova. She's got an arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court for abducting Ukrainian children.”
AO: “I don't know who that is.”
“Okay. Can you understand why a congressperson says the NHL shouldn't allow you to participate because you support this regime, and this country is spending billions of dollars helping fight Russia? What's your reaction to that?”
AO: “Well, everybody have their own opinion, right? I'm not a politician, I'm an athlete, and, how I said, I'm gonna live there when I'm done playing. I support my country. Like, I'm Russian.”
“You would support it no matter what?”
AO: “Well, I'm gonna live there, yeah.”
“So if they're responsible for a genocide, you would support the genocide?”
AO: “What do you mean, genocide?”
[Media relations official translates ‘genocide’.]
AO: [Groans.] “Oh. I would say, like, I'm, I hope it's not gonna, it's not gonna be like that.”

He needs a good coach to work on his defense. That part of his game has been inexcusable.
There is value in having a hitter who knows how to hit. Nobody else on the team can get hits like him and without him the team is full of a bunch of boom or bust strikeout machines.
Top 7 in WAR and under .500 is the most obvious example of an incompetent coaching staff.
You can make fun of the analytics (and I agree a lot of the time), but just watch the games and see the talent continue to lose games in the dumbest ways.
They aren't being coached.
Beasley seems like a nice guy and has a great voice, but everyone from the GM down needs to go in the offseason if the team ever wants to compete.
Obviously the owner need to go first and foremost, but that won't happen.
You need a new GM for anything to change.
BC has created the environment where stats matter more than people and he will only hire people that support that role.
Nothing will change without a new GM and then a new GM would need to fire everyone in the organization.
Don Kelly on the decision to go with Soto and stick with Soto in the eighth:
“Around PCA, and he's been so good for us. I mean, I don't know exactly what his numbers are, but he's been really good against righties and the last probably second half. I mean, he's been so he's been really good.”
“We had gotten Yohan up in case he got out of it, but Suzuki was 0 for 4 with three strikeouts. Shaw 0 for 2 with a strikeout, and Soto has been really good against right-handed batters too.“
Also added that in hindsight he should’ve maybe had Luke Weaver up.
7 IP, 2ER, 4H, 1BB, 1HBP, 4K is not exactly "ass"
However, the loss of velocity and movement on the fastball is obviously concerning.
I still think they have tried to work on his mechanics in the offseason and the only way to tell of it works is if he rebounds next year.
Looks like they've found common ground on everything except the thing that will actually cause the lockout.
MLB and the MLBPA remain far apart on a salary cap. But an interesting dynamic is emerging in the proposals.
The MLBPA proposed allowing players 30+ with five years of service to reach free agency a year earlier.
MLB accepted the concept in principle.
The MLBPA proposed reducing in-season minor-league options from 5 → 3.
MLB countered with 5 → 4.
The MLBPA proposed earlier Rule 5 Draft eligibility.
MLB has proposed that, too, with additional changes.
There are still major disagreements, most notably the salary cap, and MLB's concessions are tied to its broader economic proposal.
But the proposals show something important: MLB has moved toward the union on several issues. The question is whether that common ground can extend to the economics.
Going to need to score more than 1 run per game against non-Angel teams.
Diamondbacks will be hard to catch either way with their easy schedule.
Still on life support.
