CAS overturns suspension in ABP case of Japanese race walker Koki Ikeda (2021 Olympic silver medalist). I can't remember many ABP cases getting successfully overturned on appeal. Norah Jeruto's did. Any others I'm missing?

CAS OVERTURNS AIU'S 4-YEAR BAN ON KOKI IKEDA Japan's Koki Ikeda 🇯🇵 has been cleared of an anti-doping rule violation by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), overturning his 4-year ban and making him eligible to compete again. The Tokyo Olympic 20km Race Walk Silver medallist was sanctioned by the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) in February 2025 over alleged blood manipulation based on abnormalities in his Athlete Biological Passport. However, CAS found that there was a reasonable non-doping explanation for the findings, concluding that the anti-doping charge had not been established. Ikeda's four-year sanction has been overturned, clearing the way for his return to competition.

BBC Sport approached @number10gov for a response to my letter to @andyburnham . The @DHSCgovuk responded and unfortunately this statement isn’t anything we didn’t already know. There are also fundamental inaccuracies within it. Please also bear with me; I’ve had an extremely large amount of messages and I’m operating with a very limited capacity. @Ed_Miliband @tessamunt @JoPlattLeigh @KatieFalkingham @BBCSport @BBCNews @UKLabour @ThereForME_UK @YvetteCooperMP

So, that’s the 2016 and 2020 women’s @Olympics marathon gold medallists from Kenya busted for doping. Plus the women’s marathon world record holder, also from Kenya. Yet, we keep getting told by @WorldAthletics that the country is getting on top of the problem. It doesn’t look like that from I am sitting. @athletics_kenya @OlympicsKenyaKE @wada_ama @iocmedia
The AIU has provisionally suspended reigning World and former Olympic champion, Peres Jepchirchir, after an out-of-competition sample, collected in Kenya prior to her recent Sydney Marathon victory, returned an adverse analytical finding for EPO. 1/2

The Nobel Prize

Jean Paul Sartre was the first person to decline the Nobel Prize. In 1964, Sartre was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature, but made it known that he did not wish to accept the prize as he had always declined official honours. More on Sartre’s refusal: bit.ly/2ZP590B

Name an athlete whose real name is so good it sounds made up. Not a nickname, the actual name on the birth certificate. Any sport, any era.

Grete Waitz was one of the true icons in women’s distance running. A leader in cross country, track & field and marathoning. Always humble, with a lovely sense of humor, Grete inspired many with her fight against her own cancer and her nine NYC marathon wins. #gretewaitz, #AKTIV, #adidasrunning, #norway

Great picks by @EuroAthletics for 2029 EA indoor in Torun and EA2030 outdoor in Helsinki! EA champs are wonderful meets to attend! Indoor in 2027 is Valencia!
Very pleased to learn this morning that Toruń has been awarded the @EuroAthletics Indoor Championships for 2029. They did a great job with Worlds this year, and the arena is first-rate. (I also love that there is a supermarket across the street🙂)
