I've been photographing this hawk for at least five years now. I know his haunts and he knows mine, once following my car and kiting above me.
There is no need for words between us, only sky.

Needed to return an order to @Chewy b/c one of my cats passed away and it was an autoship of food that was just for him, and they offered a refund without returning the food. They suggested donating it to a shelter or friend. Can’t tell you how much that meant to me 💗

I was out today on #redthursday and was repeatedly asked why red Friday is on Thursday, so I wanted to address this. Tomorrow is 9/11 and the @Chiefs, out of respect for all the people we lost 25 years ago, decided not to celebrate the kickoff to the season on one of this country’s most solemn days.Proud of my Chiefs family for their decision!

I never, ever saw this coming.
You may remember the letter I wrote to the Royals at the beginning of the season. Those were my words, in my voice—straight from my heart. I could never take credit for the masterpiece that came from them, but knowing they helped inspire something this powerful means more than I can put into words.
To be part of an Emmy-nominated story is an honor I’ll never take for granted. What started as a heartfelt message to my beloved Royals became something far bigger than I ever imagined.
Forever grateful. Forever humbled. Forever Royal.

Our world is so fractured, I didn't believe there was one thing we could all agree on. But there is.
Dolly Parton.
Perhaps there should be a third party in America based on her life's principals.

(1/?) Emotional conversation with my Dad on this Memorial Day. My Dad is retired military. His best friend, from his small town, dirt poor neighborhood - was Donnie Holm.
Donnie enlisted in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
Donnie came back on leave once or twice … (con’t)
