Understand, that this is part and parcel of a wider plan to consolidate the Western Hemisphere under the total hegemonic control of the United States. Which itself is undergoing a transformation towards the consolidation of a neo-fascist order, centered around the alliance of the techlords - petrochemical magnets - christian nationalists - white supremacists/neoconfederates. This alliance, and it's open interference in the elections in Colombia, Ecuador, and beyond, is what has enabled the right wing sweep of Latin America. Brazil held the line. But, as far as these forces are concerned, Lula's victory is temporary at best. We need a serious international to counter this offensive. And we have a short window of time to construct it.
