Trump's own lawyers spent August writing him a shield against Congress. On page 19, they spelled out how it breaks, and he does it almost every day. What it is: dworkinsubstack.com/p/we-too…

Elon Musk is hiding this video of Bill Burr ripping him apart. So don't RT it. Or do if you don't like Elon Musk.

I love this video. For those of us who were children during the civil rights era, these stories of finding out about racism are not uncommon.

As I told @NPR here, SpaceX is a big contractor and gets a lot of money from NASA and the Department of Defense. A federal criminal statute prohibited Musk, as head of DOGE, from participating in any matter he knew would have an impact on SpaceX. npr.org/2026/11/04/nx-s1-602…

In 2023, the Senate asked John Roberts to come testify about Supreme Court ethics. He said no. A year later, he wrote the ruling that made Trump immune. The new Congress doesn’t have to ask nicely. Time to investigate and impeach John Roberts. Agreed? Link below 👇

I’m not going to lie, after a 26 hour day yesterday, I cried. It was one of the most emotional moments I can remember for a long time. After just four hours sleep I’m struggling to articulate just how I feel in this historic moment. I believed in the American people and they didn’t disappoint. Some will be confused why an old man an ocean away cares. To those people I say, I have been in this joint effort to save the soul of a nation for almost seven years. While I appreciate that might seem odd and just a drop in the ocean to some, I haven’t seen what’s happened in the U.S. as just an American problem, it’s a global problem. As a citizen of the world and a nation that has long walked on hot coals to follow the U.S. into its list of failed wars. I am as angry, sickened and disappointed as those who rose up last night to say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. The truth is, the UK has been complicit in what Trump has done citing economic fear. For that, I’m ashamed of my government. Whatever happened to moral integrity? I’m going to share my wider thoughts in a piece later today, once I’ve had time to wake up and adjust to the new challenges ahead, because believe me this is NOT over. The road to Damascus is long and winding, and I’m committed to playing my part in that challenge. CONGRATULATIONS AMERICA, I honestly never doubted you, even when many others across the Atlantic did. I still believe I have a role to play and I’ll share my thoughts on that later.

The 2026 midterm elections didn't just determine who controls Congress for the next two years—they also determine whether the United States, 250 years after its founding, remains a democracy, @anneapplebaum says. She explores what citizens and lawmakers can do next to strengthen the institutions and values that have been threatened in the Trump era.

We cannot just turn the damn page on Donald Trump’s corruption. We must expose the grift, hold those responsible accountable, and make sure it NEVER happens again.

NOVEMBER SURPRISE. Former Miss Teen USA, Dr. Larissa Portnoff, just came out with disgusting, disturbing allegations against Donald Trump. Portnoff is a highly respected New York–based clinical psychologist and clinical director of New York Psychology Practice, She earned her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Columbia University. Every republican running tomorrow needs to get on record as to whether they support Donald Trump’s attacks on this poor woman.

Trump wants to open the Olympic Peninsula's ancient forests and wild salmon rivers to logging. In August, we know the admin moved to scrap the Roadless Rule. It protects about 45 million acres of national forest. Today I want to talk about one of those areas: the Olympic National Forest in Washington State, and some of the rivers that start there. One is the Humptulips River, a top-ten trophy fishing river in Washington. Its headwaters sit in the Moonlight Dome Roadless Area. Another is the Quilcene Roadless Area. It feeds the drinking water supply for Port Townsend. These are ancient forests, and their rivers are home to wild salmon. Scrapping the rule means logging and new roads. And this isn't the first try. In 2025, budget drafts listed 300,000 acres of Olympic National Forest as eligible for sale. That was removed. The Wild Olympics Campaign, a coalition working to protect the Olympic Peninsula's forests and rivers, says these areas could be open to industrial development in 2027. More than 1 million people told the Forest Service to keep the Roadless Rule. The administration is barreling ahead anyway. And this isn't just one forest. Roadless areas across the country are at risk. There's a fix for this area. The Wild Olympics Act would protect these lands permanently, by law. Washington Senator Patty Murray first introduced it in 2012. About 800 tribes, businesses and groups back it. Now sportsmen and lawmakers are racing to pass it by the end of 2026. If it doesn't pass by then, it dies with this Congress and has to start over. Sign the petition in the first reply. Washingtonians need to call Senators Murray and Cantwell. And if you have any friends in the state, please share this with them as well. It's imperative we reach everyone there. #DemsUnited
