Scrimmage ends 13-10 for the Kats against Baylor.
Hitting shined early, but the pitching late in second half of the scrimmage stole the show.
The scoreless streak is over at 7.1 innings as Mason Murphy gives up a homer.
13-10 Kats in the top of the 12th.
They will play a bottom of the 12th no matter what.
In the middle of the 11th & it is now seven straight scoreless innings Kat pitching has tossed.
Grant Harlan pitched a scoreless 10th & Wyatt Powell pitched a scoreless 11th.
M9: 13-9 Kats
Kade Neuenschwander (1 IP), Tyler Ryden (2 IP), & Lincoln Buchanan (2 IP) have put five straight zeroes on the board in the Baylor run column.
Still 3.5 innings to go in this scrimmage against Baylor.
Tyler Ryden looking good with two straight scoreless innings.
Topped up at 92 according to the stadium gun.
Update after five innings: 10-9 Sam Houston over Baylor
Fielding for both sides has been fighting the sun. Sam Houston pitching has induced a lot of soft contact, but has been unlucky.
Alvord, Fink, & Britton have been standing out nicely.
Corcoran also has a 2-run HR.
Hickman gives up three more runs after pesky hitting by Baylor, but the offense helps him out as they have scored four in the second inning so far.
Hunter Alvord, playing third base today, ripped a 2-RBI double with two outs down the LF line to grab the lead.
Hickman gave up two runs in the first, but Cade Corcoran hit a 2-out, 2-run no-doubter over the right field wall to knot things back up.
Sam Houston takes on Baylor in their penultimate fall game.
Heard they’ll be going 12 innings, but not yet confirmed.

Ahead of the seventh game of the season, Phil Longo thought any questions of change were "puzzling and not something I'm thinking about."
His Bearkat squad logged 13 total yards in the first half against New Mexico State. The loss saw the Kats fall to 1-6 on the year, and 3-16 in the season and a half Longo has been the head coach.

Sam Houston using their second timeout of the half with 9 minutes left in the 3Q to remove the offense for the punt team may be one of the dumbest uses of a timeout.
Just take the delay. Who cares. Why burn the timeout.
Per Longo on a health update for Landyn Locke, they thought Locke may have had a fibula fracture, did an X-Ray and it wasn’t the case.
Still, however, wasn’t “moving well laterally” so they sat him for a drive until he was good to go.

Sam Houston will drop to 1-6 on the season and remain winless against the FBS.
Bearkats with 11 yards rushing. Over half of their 246 yards came on two plays.
Thirteen penalties for 119 yards and no timeouts left down the stretch in a close game.
Rough night in Huntsville.
