ASSISTANCE: A Good Samaritan has donated groceries worth N$2,000 to Jumba Martha (33) after seeing a Namibian Sun post showing her resilience as she carried discarded cans to sell at a local scrap yard in Rundu while carrying her four-month-old daughter on her back. Reinhard Moyo said Martha’s story and her determination to provide for her children moved him to help with groceries and basic necessities. Another Good Samaritan from Windhoek has also contributed N$500 to assist Martha. Martha is seeking employment, including domestic work. On the conversation of local artist: I think the issue is that Namibia unfortunately does not have a contemporary music sound that people can gravitate towards. As an artist you are simply not going to compete with a SA’n artist on amapiano, or a Nigerian on afrobeat.
