I really think everyone needs to pay attention to this cordinated campaign to delegimatize Muslim Americans - not just as citizens but as humans. These increasingly hysterical attacks are a prelude to Republicans bringing us to a very, very dark place after the election.

Career politicians like Brent Taylor and billionaires like Donald Trump have been abusing their power and getting away with it for far too long. This is the type of predatory behavior that needs to be rooted out of our society and politics.  nashvillescene.com/news/pith…

I'm disturbed to learn of Brent Taylor’s pattern of sending unsolicited nude photos to multiple women. The fact that he would dismiss his behavior as “youthful indiscretions" despite it happening recently, in his fifties, & while he held government office is ridiculous. More⬇️

58-year old candidate for Congress sending unsolicited nudes as a 53-year old is not "youthful indiscretion."
YIKES! It seems @Justinjpearson’s TN-9 opponent state senator @BrentTaylorTN has a history of sending unsolicited nude pics to people who are not his wife. (No wonder Trump wants him in congress) nashvillescene.com/news/pith…

Eight years ago today, 11 members of Pittsburgh’s Jewish community were killed in a horrific act of hate. Today, we honor their lives, remember their loved ones, and stand with a community forever changed by this tragedy. May their memories always be a blessing. Everyone deserves to feel safe in their places of worship and communities. May we continue to stand together against antisemitism, xenophobia, and all forms of hate.

The Pennsylvania Working Families Party is proud to release our full voter guide for the November 3rd general election. This is, by far, our largest slate of endorsed candidates ever. Up and down the ballot, we have the chance to elect champions for working people.

#KansasSenate Adam Hamilton on transgender rights: “I don’t think we should take a small group of people and bully them, pick on them, and hurt them. I understand one thing really clearly when it comes to transgender people, and that is Jesus told me I was to love my neighbor as I love myself.” “I’m gonna love the trans person as well as the straight person, male or female. We have to do better than picking on small groups. What’s happened is we’ve turned a group of people into a campaign issue because it polls well.”

BREAKING: Scott Presler finally found voter fraud
NEW: Scott Presler allowed multiple out of state GOP operatives to use his home in Pennsylvania to vote in the '24 election. Those operatives then left the state. Election lawyers say this could be in violation of PA voting laws. via @BrendanHartnett thebulwark.com/p/gop-operati…

Maybe they are so confident about fraud because they are doing it?
Republican organizer Scott Presler used his home as a base for out-of-state voters to cast Pennsylvania ballots. Legal experts say this raises questions of whether he committed the same acts of which he has accused others. New from @BrendanHartnett: lnk.thebulwark.com/4zSt6pu

Back in the field harvesting olives this morning at the invitation of Palestinian families (near Beit Jala today) with @rabbijilljacobs @truahrabbis and many other new released-from-detention friends. Our harvest today was peaceful & successful. Sadly, another harvest in Masafer Yatta was not. Settlers attacked Palestinian farmers — but the IDF arrested two of the farmers, and evicted the others from their own land, after declaring it a closed military zone. Sound familiar? It’s happening every single day.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry is lying. No coordination was required, and we were never told that it was. We were not in a restricted security area. We did not pass any checkpoints. Palestinian farmers do not — and should not — need permits to harvest their own olive fields. But they fear doing so, because the IDF doesn’t protect them from settler violence. We’re trying to model solidarity & co-existence between Jews and Palestinians, and to call attention to the horrors of the occupation. The Israeli government is trying to foment violence between Jews and Palestinians, and to make it impossible for Palestinians to harvest their olive groves, drive on their roads, or live in their homes.
This was not about harvesting olives. It was about harvesting headlines. Brad Lander’s latest stunt is nothing more than a calculated political provocation. Lander traveled to a foreign country, deliberately entered a restricted security area, and participated in an unauthorized activity without the required coordination. What makes this stunt even more outrageous is that his own team contacted Israeli representatives in the United States ahead of his visit and was explicitly informed that proper coordination with the relevant authorities was required. He chose to ignore those instructions. At a time of heightened security tensions, Israeli security forces have a responsibility to protect lives, prevent dangerous incidents, and maintain public order. Had anyone been injured as a result of his reckless political theater, Lander would undoubtedly have been among the first to demand that Israeli authorities intervene and provide protection. Brad Lander came looking for a confrontation. Now he is pretending to be its victim.

Allegheny County set the standard and made history with the first county-level paid parental leave policy in the country. This victory reflects the power of organizing and advocacy. No parent should have to choose between a paycheck and caring for their newborn. Now it's time to guarantee paid family and medical leave for every worker, in every county, in every state.

Bad men gain power when we don't fight back. Vivek Ramaswamy is everything wrong with politics: arrogance, cruelty, dishonesty, and a willingness to do ANYTHING for power. Ohio deserves better. I'm proud that my wife, MK, is supporting Dr. Amy Acton today.

Today, Brad Lander, rabbis, and other New Yorkers accompanied Palestinian farmers during the olive harvest. For that, they were detained by the Israeli government.  Harvesting olives is not illegal. The occupation is. I am thankful that Brad has been released. But other New Yorkers remain detained, and they must be released immediately. The same Israeli government detaining them has committed a horrific genocide against Palestinians, killing more than 74,000 people over the last few years alone.  The detention of these New Yorkers must end. The occupation must end. The genocide must end.

I’ve been released from IDF custody with a “warning,” apparently because of my public profile (I told them I wasn’t even a congressmember yet, just a nominee). But several dozen rabbis & participants harvesting olives with me are still in detention. For harvesting olives. They should all be released immediately. To be clear: Palestinians face far worse consequences every day. These detentions by the IDF are one more attempt to undermine Palestinians’ right to harvest their olive groves, travel on their roads, and live in their homes. Yet one more element of escalating, and very clearly state-sponsored ethnic cleansing. We’ll update on their status as soon as we hear.
