DAN IVES: WEāRE ONLY 15% THROUGH THE AI BUILDOUT
Full video on YouTube in the first reply ā
I sat down with Dan Ives at Zeta Live to discuss $NVDA, $MSFT, $AAPL, $CRWD, $SNOW, $GOOGL, $MRVL, $AVGO and where he sees the AI trade heading into 2027.
@DivesTech believes weāre still less than 15% through the AI buildout, with $3-4T of spending ahead and the next wave of opportunities expanding from chips and hyperscalers into software and cybersecurity.
We also covered his top picks, the memory supercycle, US vs. China and why he thinks Wall Street keeps getting distracted by bearish narratives.
NVIDIA $NVDA has lowered Vera Rubinās HBM4 bandwidth to 19.2 TB/s per GPU from its earlier 22 TB/s target, with NVL72 rack bandwidth now listed at 1,400 TB/s.
Memory capacity remains unchanged at 288 GB per GPU, while estimated pin speeds have dropped from 11.7 Gbps to 9.5 Gbps.
The adjustment appears to prioritize supply reliability over peak performance targets, while still delivering a significant bandwidth increase over Blackwell.
South Koreaās SK Hynix $SKHY is reportedly considering a special dividend of 16 trillion won ($12B), representing 80% of estimated gains from reducing its stake in Japanās Kioxia.
The potential payout is estimated at 23,000 won per share and could be announced alongside Q3 earnings on October 28.
SK Hynix has not confirmed the dividend but said it is reviewing shareholder returns, while shares rose amid a broader AI-related selloff.
Markets are rapidly repricing Brazil after Luiz InƔcio Lula da Silva secured reelection, reversing earlier expectations of a victory for the more market-friendly FlƔvio Bolsonaro.
Brazilian markets had favored Bolsonaro on hopes of tighter fiscal policy, lower government spending, and improved investor confidence, but Lula's victory raises concerns over Brazil's debt and fiscal outlook.
The country's ETF $EWZ is plunging more than 18% in overnight trading as investors unwind those bets, with thin overnight liquidity potentially amplifying the selloff.

AMAZON CEO SEES THREE MASSIVE TRANSFORMATIONS
Amazon $AMZN CEO Andy Jassy says AI, robotics, and space development are three of the biggest transformations of our lifetime, with the potential to reshape customer experiences across multiple industries.
Amazon is already deploying robotics across retail operations, building AI applications and agents, and expanding satellite connectivity through Amazon Leo.
These investments extend into automation, autonomous driving, and logistics, creating opportunities across the broader robotics ecosystem.
Robotics Stocks to Watch
Allegro MicroSystems $ALGM - Magnetic sensors and motor-control chips used in robotic motion and positioning.
onsemi $ON - Power semiconductors and intelligent sensing for robotic motors, automation, and machine vision.
Synaptics $SYNA - Edge AI processors, connectivity, and sensing technologies supporting intelligent devices.
NVIDIA $NVDA - AI computing, robotics simulation, and physical AI platforms for developing autonomous machines.
MercadoLibre $MELI - Warehouse automation and fulfillment robotics supporting e-commerce logistics.
Amazon $AMZN CEO Andy Jassy told @a16z that even with $220B in 2026 capex, AWS cannot meet current demand.
Capacity is sold out for 2026, largely booked for 2027, and a significant portion of 2028 is already committed.
Alphabet $GOOGL Google Cloud, Microsoft $MSFT Azure, and Oracle $ORCL Cloud Infrastructure are all competing to expand capacity and capture the same surging AI demand.
RBC REITERATES $INTC AT SECTOR PERFORM, MAINTAINS $100 PRICE TARGET 15% UPSIDE
RBC expects Intel to beat revenue estimates by 5%+ and raise guidance by 3-5%, driven by strong agentic AI demand. The firm forecasts double-digit server CPU growth into 2027 as AI infrastructure increases demand for general-purpose compute.
RBC also sees improving Intel 18A yields and estimates EMIB-T advanced packaging could generate $3-5B in revenue by 2028.
However, weak PC demand and a valuation above 40x estimated 2027 EPS keep the firm cautious despite the improving outlook.
Brazilās iShares MSCI Brazil ETF $EWZ is getting demolished in weekend-linked trading, as presidential election results roll in.
President Lula has overtaken FlĆ”vio Bolsonaro in the partial vote count, reversing some of the market optimism that followed Bolsonaroās surprisingly strong first-round performance.
Iāll be watching how Brazil-exposed companies MercadoLibre $MELI, Nu Holdings $NU, dLocal $DLO and StoneCo $STNE react when regular trading resumes Monday.

As Chamath Palihapitiya mentioned, the biggest constraint on AI scaling isnāt chips or demand, but access to reliable power. Grid connections, transformers, and permitting simply arenāt keeping pace with AI infrastructure expansion.
This raises the risk of NVIDIA $NVDA GPUs sitting idle in unfinished data centers. Neoclouds with CoreWeave $CRWV, Nebius $NBIS, and IREN $IREN need reliable power to turn their capacity into revenue.
Power infrastructure companies Forgent $FPS, Bloom Energy $BE, and Constellation Energy $CEG could benefit as investment shifts toward solving these bottlenecks. I remain bullish on AI long term, but securing power and executing projects will separate the winners from the losers.
@chamath
SpaceX $SPCX & Tesla $TSLA CEO Elon Musk just warned that a significant amount of AI compute could become stranded in partially completed data centers.
Despite rising GPU rental prices, power shortages, grid access, permitting delays, and infrastructure bottlenecks could leave expensive hardware sitting idle.
AI infrastructure stocks to watch:
GPUs: NVIDIA $NVDA, AMD $AMD
Neoclouds: CoreWeave $CRWV, Nebius $NBIS, $IREN
Data Centers: Applied Digital $APLD, TeraWulf $WULF, Cipher Mining $CIFR
Power Infrastructure: Bloom Energy $BE, GE Vernova $GEV, Eaton $ETN, Vertiv $VRT
The concern isnāt a lack of AI demand. Itās whether the $700B CapEx infrastructure can be completed fast enough to bring that compute online.
NVIDIA $NVDA hyperscale revenue more than doubled YoY to $48.7B, while AI cloud and enterprise sales grew to $40.3B, highlighting the accelerating demand for AI infrastructure.
With hyperscalers Microsoft $MSFT and Alphabet $GOOGL reporting Wednesday and Amazon $AMZN Thursday, their capital spending outlooks will be critical for the AI trade.
Despite the fear surrounding AI valuations and spending, continued hyperscaler investment would reinforce the bullish outlook for GPUs, data centers, and the broader AI infrastructure ecosystem.
CNNās Fear & Greed Index has historically been a useful barometer for buying opportunities, but over the past couple of years, itās become more noise than signal.
The index currently sits at 21 (Extreme Fear), yet the equal-weight S&P 500 $RSP is just 3.1% below its highs, compared with 7.7% for the Nasdaq-100 $QQQ and 27.1% for the Semiconductor ETF $SOXX.
Looking at the bottom-right chart, going āall-inā or buying heavily at an earlier Extreme Fear reading could have exposed you to a significant drawdown as markets continued falling.
For long-term investing, I prefer dollar-cost averaging (DCA) with fixed weekly or monthly purchases throughout a decline rather than relying on a single sentiment indicator to time my entries.

I find it hilarious how Aria put my name in ALL CAPS, complimented me right after our recording at $ZETA Live 2026, and then proceeded to roast me in his vlog for yapping the entire time. Feeling a little betrayed here, Aria š
All jokes aside, Aria is an awesome guy, and I genuinely love this fresh style of vlogging. Itās engaging, entertaining, and perfect for where social media is heading. Definitely check out his video!
Also, $GOOGL YouTube videos look incredible on the Apple $AAPL iPhone Duo. Iām genuinely falling in love with this phone.
And for everyone asking, no, Apple isnāt paying me to say any of this. I wish they were! š
I said I wasn't buying the Apple $AAPL iPhone Duo, but after my brand-new iPhone 18 Pro was stolen, plans changed. I managed to secure two Duos on launch day, and despite the lack of Face ID, I'm still really happy with it, especially the extra screen space for content creation.
