This 2026 class has been impressively impactful throughout these exhibition games the last few weeks -- Quentin Coleman (Illinois), Obinna Ekezie Jr. (Louisville), Tyran Stokes (Kansas), Caleb Gaskins (Miami), Deron Rippey Jr. (Duke), Bruce Branch III (BYU) just to name a few.
So much Tyrese Maxey in 2027 Cayden Daughtry with his speed, quickness, shot-making, and hyper aggressive style of play — the Nike EYBL leading scorer, MVP, and Peach Jam champ — he began his senior season with a 46-point performance in a win in his matchup versus Beckham Black.

2026 Louisville bound center Obinna Ekezie Jr. is already on NBA scouts radar — son of former NBA player Obinna Ekezie — a 7-footer with a 7-foot-3+ wingspan, an elite interior intimidator, shot blocker, runs the floor, shows promise offensively, a lob threat, and has good hands.

Scouting NBA Draft prospects starts years before they’re draft-eligible. This weekend’s USA Basketball minicamp is one of the most important early checkpoints in that process.
Preview is live now on BabcockHoops.com with the names to know in the 2027 and 2028 classes.
Stay tuned for updates from the gym all weekend.

Impressive outing for 2028 Tai Bell in Vegas this morning — played up this grassroots season and now showing out with Columbus (FL) — a phenomenal downhill athletic guard, physical, creates opportunities for his teammates, and has that scoring versatility.
BUY STOCK NOW.
Border League tomorrow in Las Vegas — always the best preseason event for the high school hoop scene after such a long break since the grassroots season — so many NBA scouts will be in the building — Shoutout to Jeff Kaufman, Grant Rice and company for this every single year.

“I feel like as a point guard you need to know everything on the floor, what’s going on and that’s what I take pride in.”

2027 Darrius Wabbington is one of the more skilled all around prospects in the class — has the Alperen Sengun-like game and physical traits at 6-foot-10+, plays at his own pace, has great passing instincts for a big, an attractive versatile weapon, and a high IQ prospect.
After checking out the talent across the board over these last few months at different settings — Beckham Black, A.J. Williams, Cayden Daughtry, Lewis Uvwo, and others round out my current top-10 prospects regardless of class right now.

2027 Adan Diggs has established himself as one of the elite all-around scorers in the country — has the positional size at 6-foot-5, the scoring intangibles, gifted shot creation, versatility to play as a combo guard and/or facilitator, and uses his off the dribble abilities.
2027 C.J. Rosser (@CJRosser7) is a skilled stretch forward with a blend of Jabari Smith Jr., Brandon Ingram at 6-foot-9+ — spaces the floor with his outside shooting, has the athleticism, ability to attack closeouts, and proves he can make a defensive impact with his length.
2027 A.J. Williams — the recent No. 1 2028 prospect — has the elite combination of size, skill, strength, pace and length at 6-foot-8, makes plays with the ball and has the ability to make plays without the ball, has the physical tools, and can make an impact defensively.

Sometimes you don’t even know when you’ve already watched the end.
You had to be there. And now it’s over.
