Two police officers have been killed in the line of duty in Ontario this week.
Today, we mourn Toronto Police Service Constable Marc Pinizzotto - a husband and father who spent 18 years serving others.
On behalf of the London Police Service, we stand with his family, Chief Myron Demkiw, and all members of the Toronto Police Service during this unimaginable loss.
We honour his courage, his service, and his sacrifice. He will never be forgotten.
It is with deep and profound sorrow that we announce and mourn the loss of PC Marc Pinizzotto, 43, of our Emergency Task Force, killed in the line of duty today.
Marc devoted 18 years to serving the people of Toronto, including 5 years with ETF. He was a courageous officer, a respected colleague, and a man who put others before himself.
Today, a police family has lost their loved one, and our Service has lost a brother. The grief is immeasurable.
Our hearts are with Marc’s family, his loved ones, and his ETF teammates. Our members will stand with them, now and always.
A hero in life.

Project Santa is spreading cheer in London! 🎅🚔 Each year, members of the London Police Service come together to support families in need through Project Santa.
From warm coats and outdoor wear to hats, mitts, and winter essentials, these donations help ensure children and families stay warm throughout the winter season. 🧣This year’s deliveries also came with a little extra cheer, thanks to some silly fun with Santa and the Grinch, bringing smiles and laughs to families as the gifts were delivered.
A heartfelt thank you to the London Police Association, Columbia, Giant Tiger and to our members who make Project Santa possible year after year. 👏
