Money is created when government spends. Money is not the problem. The question is what we do with money and for whose benefit. Let's start with renewable energy, insulated homes, rent controls and council houses? Their economics has delivered poverty and billionaires. Enough!

Some very good news: The Egyptian Committee in Gaza has begun providing flour to help bakeries resume operations, an important step toward preventing the humanitarian catastrophe from worsening.
Bakeries will reopen after dozens were forced to shut down due to flour
Within the next 48 hours, if flour is not allowed into Gaza, all bakeries in the city will stop producing bread.
We are facing an enormous catastrophe. Famine is knocking on our doors once again, and this time, it could be worse than anything we have experienced before.
Please, do not remain silent! Talk about Gaza, make our voices heard around the world, and do everything you can before thousands of people lose access to something as basic as a loaf of bread.

The major report on antisemitism in the schools was actually 29 children. The media made a big deal out of nothing. Antisemitism is real- like antiPalestinianism. We can beat both. With leaders like Polanski we can take on the hatemongers.

🇫🇷 France Unbowed presidential candidate Jean-Luc Mélenchon ripped BFMTV, France's most-watched 24-hour news channel, for its racist coverage live on air during Saturday's march in Paris.
Asked what Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu should offer high school protesters, Mélenchon shot back: "I am not the government; go ask them. And you at BFM, start calming down with the racist remarks of all kinds, because it's starting to be enough."
As a reporter kept pressing, he added: "Go make your provocations somewhere else... go do your racism on TV and leave us the hell alone."
BFMTV, owned by French shipping billionaire Rodolphe Saadé, was rebuked by France's broadcast regulator last November after far-right politician Éric Zemmour cast Algerians and Arab Muslims as a threat on one of its shows without much pushback from its hosts.
🇫🇷 Huge crowds marched peacefully through Paris on Saturday after authorities changed the protest's approved route at the last minute, a move the leftist leader of France Unbowed Jean-Luc Mélenchon called a deliberate attempt to provoke "disorder."
Mélenchon said the government switched the route while the country was in shock over Friday's shooting in Trappes, a working-class suburb west of Paris. A gunman there killed a 26-year-old man and wounded several others, including a 12-year-old girl, in what President Emmanuel Macron described as a terrorist and racist act.
Mélenchon, the top left-wing candidate in polls for next year's presidential election, also listed what he called a series of provocations by Macron’s government. The march's original starting point was banned. Soldiers from Sentinelle, France's anti-terror patrol force, were posted outside public buildings despite having no crowd-control training. And the Paris police chief told shopkeepers to hire private security. "They are doing absolutely everything to provoke an incident," he said, while praising marchers' "collective discipline."
He warned Macron and Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu to meet protesters' demands before a nationwide general strike called by the CGT, one of France's biggest labor unions, for Nov. 5. "Either Mr. Macron gives in right away, or he will have to do so under much more hazardous conditions," he said.
Macron met high school student organizations for the first time Friday, after more than a month of protests, and Lecornu is set to meet them Monday.

That's why we pay £14 billion annually to private landlords, instead of £14 billion to local authorities to maintain, upgrade, and expand their council housing stock.
Also, Govt surpluses are bad.
Claiming the UK is living under austerity is factually wrong.
State spending accounts for around 45% of GDP - its highest for decades and the UK’s tax burden is the highest since WW2.
We haven’t run an annual surplus this century, and have instead been spending more and more each year (even under the Tories) paid for via borrowing.
People use “austerity” as a by-word for “I’m struggling financially”, but the reason people feel squeezed is because our economy is inefficient and unproductive (in large part because of high tax and regulation) - meaning growth remains sluggish and therefore living standards aren’t rising in real terms.
The likes of the Greens trot out statistics like “one in three children live in poverty” when what they’re really referring to is relative poverty, not absolute poverty.
The latter is a genuine scourge, the former is a left-wing construct that justifies ever increasing levels of state spending which, when that doesn’t produce the desired results, then leads to calls for yet more borrowing, spending and debt.
It is an economic doom loop - and NEVER an excuse for violence like in France.
