Coyote walking across the dry Kern River bed in the City of Bakersfield, California. It’s as if the coyote is asking “where’s the water?”, 💦 two days after the California Supreme Court @CaSupremeCourt heard arguments related to a lawsuit to require Bakersfield to keep enough water flowing in the river to sustain fish instead of preferentially diverting all of the water for other uses. The final judgment ⚖️ is expected within 90 days. (Viewed earlier today along the Kern River bike trail, several hundred feet east of the Calloway Bridge.)
