Ten years ago today, I had the honour of being elected as the MLA for Edmonton-Centre. Just a fresh-faced “kid” in his early 40s, simultaneously stunned & incredibly excited to be part of a powerful shift in Alberta politics - the election of our first NDP government. #ableg

I remember the first day we sat in the chamber with Speaker Gene Zwozdesky, learning the rules of the Assembly, amazed that I actually had a seat there & the privilege & responsibility to speak on behalf of the Albertans who’d elected me. (That was my 1st bow tie.) #ableg
