Today we are introducing KaspaDollar, an initiative led by core developer @asaefstroem to build the first decentralized stablecoin on the $KAS network.
The developments around @kccforum and the Toccata hardfork have considerably widened what Kaspa is capable of. Capability alone, however, does not make an ecosystem. Decentralized finance requires a unit of account that holds its value, and until Kaspa has a stablecoin of its own, every application built on it will remain dependent on assets issued elsewhere.
The design we intend to follow is the decentralized, overcollateralized stablecoin: a pattern whose security properties have been examined and tested across the industry for the better part of a decade. With the support of the core team, we consider the conditions right to bring it to Kaspa.
Realizing this requires development, an independent audit, further research, and the operational work of taking a protocol from specification to production. To fund it, we are opening a fundraiser with a target of 5,000,000 KAS.
Contributions are made directly to the fundraising address published on the website. Should the target not be reached by 1 January 2027, every contribution will be returned to the address from which it was sent.
Up until that point, this account will share the plans, details and progress of the work as it develops.

4 months ago Toccata enabled native L1 programmability.
Last month, SilverScript brought a high-level language for covenants.
Today KCC-20 finalization gives the ecosystem a shared convention for defining, deploying, interacting with, and composing fungible token assets.
There is still more work to do on indexers, tooling, and KRC-20 migration, but the pieces are coming together.
I made some interactive walkthroughs so curious interns can explore these conventions visually. They cover the Argent reference implementation, hash-chain borrowing, and KCC-23 metadata declaration.

Hello, Kaspians! 🏁💚
Today we tested the new ECU tune on the Kaspa Rally Car, and the difference I felt was huge: much more low-end torque and a much sharper response!
Before, the engine only seemed to wake up at high revs. Now it pulls from low revs all the way to the limiter. When left-foot braking, as soon as I release the brake, the car pulls straight away. We’re still fine-tuning everything, but today’s testing definitely put a big smile on my face! 😁
Tomorrow there’s more work to do: adjust the hydraulic handbrake and realign the car, reviewing the rear camber and toe to make the rear end more predictable when it starts sliding.
I didn’t push too hard today… this clutch has definitely seen better days 😅
If we manage to complete the StagHunt, it’s going to be a real race against time: remove the gearbox for an overhaul, replace the clutch while it’s out, and strip down the differential to switch to a 4.44 final drive. Even with the 3.91, the gearing still feels too tall for what we need.
Every test shows us what has improved and what still needs work. We’re getting closer, and none of this would have been possible without you.
A heartfelt thank-you to everyone donating, sharing, helping and continuing to believe in this project. 💚🏁

i’ll do everything in my power on the technical side to help this initiative move forward and navigate any protocol-level obstacles along the way.
on a personal note, Alex has a rare mix of technical depth, bizdev talent and deep Kaspa knowledge. i honestly can’t think of anyone better suited to lead it, and i really appreciate him taking this on

They are preparing to crash the entire banking system and stock market. They will blame it on AI and before the world plunges into darkness they will offer the masses a new, restored system of programmable money that is AI-resistant. Only those who invested in systems that require no permission to use and operate will thrive and have a chance at a decent future.
SCOOP: Major U.S. banks are detecting unauthorized third-party AI agents inside customer accounts, including some attempting to take actions that appear to be independent of user instructions, sources told Axios.
The findings have alarmed banking executives, who are racing to restrict access to their systems as AI moves at a velocity faster than financial institutions can respond, multiple industry and bank executives told Axios.
Several banks are now preparing for worst-case and even “day after” scenarios, including how to rapidly secure or restore customer accounts if things go wrong, the people said.
Several bank executives told Axios they're struggling to distinguish between human users and AI agents. One executive said banks also struggle to determine whether agents are authorized by customers or potentially operating without their permission, more akin to rogue agent behavior.

They declared $KAS dead.
The network didn’t get the memo🗿
“Kaspa is finished.”
“It’ll never come back.”
Meanwhile the chain keeps running.
Past 7 days:
$KAS — 5.8M transactions
$BTC — 4.9M
$LTC — 1.25M
This is happening while $KAS is down, attention has shifted, and the timeline is flooded with new launches fighting for the same liquidity.
Markets can ignore a project for months, that doesn’t mean the builders stopped or the network stopped operating.
When sentiment is this low, it’s fair to ask whether price is reflecting fundamentals or simply the lack of attention.
Transaction counts alone won’t take $KAS into the top 10. But writing it off while the network keeps putting up these numbers deserves a second look.

📢 nacho-the-kat:native Incident Recovery & KCC20 Migration: Where We Stand
Original KRC20 supply: 287B
Migration snapshot supply: 330B
What happened on Sept 20:
A vulnerability in the KRC-20 standard (Kasplex) was exploited to forge ~49B NACHO from the layer 1 (L1) vault, inflating the total supply with unbacked layer 2 mints.
Incident response:
→ Paused KatBridge the same day
→ 6B+ nacho-the-kat:native voluntarily burned by holders working with us (legends forever)
→ Burned all remaining nacho-the-kat:native in the L1 vault to lock in the final number.
🔗 Vault Burn TX: kaspa.stream/transactions/9f…
The L1 vault now holds zero NACHO, and every token is accounted for.
Next step, finalize the KCC20 migration tool that any project that was supported by KatBridge will be able to use.
Then, deploy the nacho-the-kat:native KCC20 token and begin migration from KRC20 NACHO or ERC20 NACHO on Kasplex or Igra.
The burn has only just begun.
Supply keeps going down from here:
🔥 → Voluntary burns during the KCC20 migration.
🔥 → Migration fees used to buy and burn.
🔥 → Unmigrated tokens burned after the window closes.
Every token burned, even on KCC20, reduces all calculated supply metrics including the max supply, total supply, and circulating supply. These are the standard supply metrics that are verified across crypto dashboards that we will keep updated, so that you can see the direct impact of each burn!
⚠️ There is no official KCC20 NACHO token yet. Anything claiming to be one is a scam. The official migration will be announced only through our verified channels.
Stay nacho-the-kat:native. 🐾

We can confirm this issue has been resolved.
The stuck tokens have been recovered and returned to all affected holders. If you were impacted, please check your wallet, your funds should be there.
Shoutout to the @KastleWallet team for the quick communication and coordination. Issues happen, what matters is how they’re handled.
$KAS ecosystem looks out for each other.
Hey Kastlers 🏰
Due to our mistake last week, we had to disable the bridge feature again on mobile (the extension is live). Our UI still allowed bridging KRC20 to Igra while this route was disabled on @Kaspa_KAT, which we use behind the scenes as a provider.
Some of you tried to bridge KRC20 and saw your tokens disappear. This was terrible and won’t happen again. To prevent it from spreading further, last weekend we disabled the bridge again.
Now all the problems have been fixed. Thanks to the help of the formidable @Kaspa_KAT team, the best partners possible in this world, the stuck funds have been returned to the users. The new mobile release is about to bring the bridge back without the KRC20 route, plus a new feature.
If you were affected, please check your funds now. If you see any inconsistency, text us in our Telegram channel and we will look into it right away.
Thanks all for your understanding. 🛡️

Onwards!
KCC-20 lets us create tokens that work together through a shared interface. Native KAS is a fungible token as well, but it isn’t a KCC-20 token.
Imagine a DEX, for example. KCC-20 lets us write a generic pool covenant that supports any pair of KCC-20 tokens. But if one side of the pair is KAS, we’d need special logic to handle it.
Representing KAS as a KCC-20 token would let covenants handle KAS the same way they handle other KCC-20 tokens. There could be different implementations and deployments of a KAS-backed KCC-20 token, but it would be beneficial to agree on a single one to avoid fragmentation.
I'm proposing a simple implementation, KAS20. Join the discussion on Kas-Smiths:
kas-smiths.org/t/a-kas-backe…
Greetings $KAS. KCC-1, KCC-2 and KCC-20 are now Final, meaning they are ready for full adoption across the ecosystem.
We invite Kaspa builders to join the public KCC channel to ask questions, get support, discuss implementations and share what you build.
Come build with us.
THE TIME IS NOW ⏳🏁
Kaspians, help us get this car onto more people’s screens! 💚
We have 4 days left, we’re at 47%, and 39 incredible backers have already helped us get this far.
After months of building and sharing every step, let’s share this next step together. Repost this, send it to a friend, or share it with a community that loves motorsport, Kaspa, or seeing an idea become something real.
Somewhere beyond our own timelines are people who would love this project and might want to contribute they just haven’t seen it yet. Your share could be how they find us.
To everyone who has supported the build, contributed or helped spread the word: thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤️
Let’s take Kaspa from our screens to the starting line. 🏁
