Community Case Study: Unst & Yell, Shetland What does salmon farming mean for remote island communities? @CookeScotland's operations in Unst and Yell, where salmon farming supports more than 120 local jobs, creates apprenticeship opportunities, and helps sustain local businesses and services. The contribution extends beyond employment, with investment in community projects, local infrastructure, schools and events, alongside employees volunteering with vital emergency services including the fire service, coastguard and ambulance service.
