It seems like the AI bubbles are going to start popping soon. Hopefully it will get the world back to a somewhat normal

Here's what the gatekeepers won't say out loud: A kid with no art school, no studio, and no budget can now make something beautiful. That isn't the death of art. That's the death of the monopoly.

If you're a writer out there, an artist, a filmmaker, an actor, a musician, whatever it is you do, just remember, no matter what happens with your career, you're amazing special and enough just for being you and creating the dang stuff. Write on, good luck. - Spyder

AI made it possible for a guy in a small town with no connections to build something the whole world can see. that's the part nobody talks about.

Musician here, not a paper-and-pencil artist. Why I use AI. I toured, I made tracks, I had a blast being a human musician. Now I'm a Dad of two who plays hockey, who's tired, who desperately needs an outlet. AI music lets me unleash and share with the world. I do wish I had the time and energy to go back to playing instruments, but this is where I am now, and I'm okay with it.
Hey, ai artists. I have a genuine question, I'm not coming at you. Do you want to learn how to draw? Like, do you have the itch to create but just found a thing that does the thing before you got skilled enough?

Variety has many talented writers. I wish they would stop insulting them and some of the genuine artists they cover by laundering the reputation of people who use AI.
"Merry the Christmas Witch" director Tom Walsh says his movie adaptation of the 2012 children’s book would've cost $80 million if he did not use AI. The final budget was $1.5 million. “We were kind of stuck. The doors are not very open to new kind[s] of ideas and new kind[s] of stories and everything, and that makes it a little tough for independent filmmakers, so that’s where AI came in.” variety.com/2026/film/news/m…

My stance in the AI discourse: - I'm heavily pro-AI but anti-slop. - I love human creativity & talent, and I don't think they can be replaced by AI. AI has no taste or emotions, which are the main drivers of true art. - I use AI in almost everything I do/build, but never in a way that compromises quality or harms people. AI should be used to make things possible that weren't possible before, IMO. - I have empathy for people who feel threatened by AI, especially those who love their craft, be it programming or art, worry that their work might lose value or be automated by AI. The threat is real, and it forces people to rethink and adapt. - I don't have empathy for people who hate AI simply because they're miserable and want something to hate. - AI is not what produces slop. It's people with the wrong mindset and a lack of passion for their work who do. - I don't give a damn about tribalism and don't want any part of it.

Gonna get hate, but… in comics, writing is as important as art. That doesn’t mean artists can’t do the writing themselves. It just means that whoever is doing the writing should be putting in as much work as any given person on the artistic team.

– at Madrid, Spain

Anthropic exploits the work of millions of creatives without paying them. This is not absolved by donating a fraction of the ill-gotten gains to the ‘public good’. If you want to work for the ‘public good’, start by not exploiting people.
We’re committing a portion of Anthropic’s shares to the Anthropic Public Benefit Fund, a new wholly owned entity dedicated entirely to the public benefit. It will start off with 5% of our shares. For every 50% increase in the company’s value over a set baseline, we can contribute up to an extra 2%, subject to our board’s discretion. In total, this means that roughly 20% of Anthropic’s shares are committed to the public good. Our co-founders have already pledged to donate 80% of their equity, and around half our employees are donating a portion of their equity as part of a donation matching program we’ve run since our founding. In the post below, we share more details about our new fund. anthropic.com/news/public-be…
