At the end of #SelfCareWeek we bring you these reminders for the festive season 💙 There is no right or wrong way to do Christmas while grieving. Whether you throw yourself into festivities or hide away from them, remember to eat, drink, rest & reach out to the WAY community 🦢
It was a pleasure to join such awesome campaigners for good mental health in film and tv on the stage. Everyone look after each other out there. #letsreset

Being kind to yourself isn’t always extravagant, it isn’t always bubble baths & spa breaks. Sometimes it’s acknowledging that you’re doing the best you can & reminding yourself to eat, drink and rest. It’s giving yourself the space for survival 💙
Too many of us have lost people this year. Today we remember our friend and colleague, Marc. Thank you for your calm insight and thoughtful help. You are missed.
"With Marc, directors have lost a great communicator, a problem-solver, a champion, and a friend." We pay tribute to Marc Abbs, Senior Communications and Digital Manager of Directors UK, who passed away this summer. directors.uk.com/news/rememb…

Celebratory cake for being 'brave' around the needle. I also see some folk have been getting stickers like the dentist used to give out...oh and take anything you need off of a high shelf now. #deadarm

I'm learning how to sew this week so that we don't throw as many things away. When was the last time you mended something? 🧵 - Orinoco
Something interesting for those of you working in docs.
Today we launch the @FwdDoc Toolkit for Inclusion & Accessibility: Changing the Narrative of Disability in Documentary Film in association with @TheDocSociety and supported by @NetflixUK! fwd-doc.org/toolkit #RepresentationMatters #Documentary #Film #Accessibility #Disability

ALT The cover of a PDF document. The top half of the page is bright yellow with logos for Little By Little Films, Doc Society and FWD-Doc. The date, ‘February 2021, Edition 1’ sits next to the logos. Below reads, “FWD-Doc in association with Doc Society supported by Netflix presents ‘A Toolkit for Inclusion & Accessibility: Changing the Narrative of Disability in Documentary Film’”. The bottom half of the page is a horizontal poster advertising the film ‘Crip Camp, A Disability Revolution’: 1970s sunny outdoors, a young Black man, Alan Freeman, has a guitar over his shoulder and he stands, smiling, behind a white man, Neil Jacobson, who is using a wheelchair.

Jeremy Bulloch, whose unforgettable performance as notorious bounty hunter Boba Fett has captivated audiences since he first appeared in 1980's Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, has sadly passed away.
Have to share. The amazing writing on Cobra Kai has made the redemption of character Johnny Lawrence possible and welcome and it's delivered gloriously in @wiliamzabka 's beautiful nuanced performance. Well deserved!
Congratulations to @WilliamZabka for kicking butt, taking names, and receiving the honor of Zero to Hero at the #MTVAwards: Greatest of All Time! 👊🏆
Check out Emma's research on post production sound. It's important reading.
My research was made possible through support and mentoring from #LennyHenryCentreForMediaDiversity Until now, the issues faced by anyone working in sound were frankly ignored. The centre is offering grant opportunities to people to undertake this type of research. Info below

Incredibly sad to hear of the passing of Dave Prowse. He taught us to cross the road as the Green Cross Code man and then ruled the Star Wars galaxy as Lord Vader and yet was always down to earth. RIP.
Fantastic to be part of this #audienceaward Thanks to all the team @ERFilmFest for the great festival!
