17-0 TEMPLE RUN (AND COUNTING) TO START THE SEASON‼️
The Owls continue their cherry-hot start, shooting 5-of-7 from beyond the arc and 6-of-8 overall while holding CCSU to an 0-for-5 start from the field and forcing three turnovers.
Gavin Griffiths and Jordan Marsh lead the way with six points apiece.

3rd place Big 5 Classic 🥉
Owls have a tough stretch of their conference schedule in late January at Tulane which is where I could see the owls losing a couple in a row. Hope im wrong.

Predictable, but incredibly disappointing.
The current format of Big 5 men's basketball will end after this year, and the immediate future has the 5 non-Villanova schools playing round-robin without the Wildcats.
Villanova didn't want to keep this format, and another could not be agreed on.

INBOX: Villanova is out of the Big 5.
Round robin format is back for the other five schools.

It looks like Villanova has made the long expected, but utterly spineless decision to stop playing Big 5 games
Credit to Temple for staying in and agreeing to return to the old format
News: Five institutions of the Philadelphia Big 5 - Drexel University, La Salle University, University of Pennsylvania, Saint Joseph's University, and Temple University - announce a round-robin scheduling format for men’s basketball beginning in 2027-28.
These institutions are united in their commitment to preserving the history and enhancing the future of the Philadelphia Big 5. The round-robin format represents a renewal of the competitive spirit that has defined the city’s college basketball landscape for more than 70 years, while also preserving the future of a partnership that is distinctively Philadelphia.

You can’t hate Villanova enough, by the way.
BREAKING: Big 5 men’s basketball schools to move forward with round-robin format without Villanova in 2027-28, from @Jeff_Neiburg in @phillysport
With the current format nearing the end of its contract, Villanova was not interested in keeping with the status quo. The one-day Big 5 Classic tripleheader could still live on.

The CFP Committee is confused why the MLB allowed two small-market teams in their Playoff. Would it not have been more profitable to cap it at one?
The World Series matchup is set!
Either the Brewers or Rays will win their first championship 🏆
