the older i get, the more i realize luck is just exposure.
you have to put yourself out there to win.
travel more. talk to strangers. try a new coffee spot. talk to the cute girl on the street. talk to the old lady on her walk. chat with the buisnessman at the bar. post on social media. start a side hustle. create a new hobby. join a group activity.
if you stay in the same routine, around the same people, doing the same thing, nothing will ever happen
you create opportunity by allowing more tbings into your life. go out and be bold. the world rewards motion.

We need to have an honest conversation about how some Nigerian boys are raised to understand respect and authority.
In some homes, the boy child grows up watching his father make every major family decision while his mother is expected to agree, even when she has a different opinion.
If she questions him, she is reminded that he is the head of the home, and if she insists on being heard, she is accused of challenging his authority.
Instead of being seen as the domination that it is, the man calls it being the head of the home.
The boy watches his father dismiss his mother's opinions on finances, the children's education, and other family decisions. He sees a woman who contributes to the household, yet must still seek permission, choose her words carefully, and swallow her disagreement to keep the peace in the home.
This boy grows up hearing, "You are a man. Don't allow any woman to talk to you anyhow."
Eventually, he becomes a husband.
His wife is educated, ambitious, and earns her own money. She has opinions about their home and children. She questions a financial decision, suggests a better approach, or disagrees with him on parenting.
Even though she did them in love and with respect, he begins to feel challenged because he was raised to make all the decisions. How dare she have an opinion?
When she gets a promotion, he becomes uncomfortable. When she buys a car, he wonders why she needs one when he has his. When she offers a different opinion, he calls it disrespect.
Sometimes he pretends to make her feel included by asking for her opinion, while knowing full well that he only wants her to agree with his own.
This is why it is important to examine what we are teaching our boys about manhood and leadership.
And the painful part is that it is not just the fathers. Some mothers excuse their sons' disrespect towards their sisters because they are boys, while teaching their daughters to be accommodating and submissive.
We cannot keep raising boys to associate leadership with subjugation, and then wonder why some men struggle with partnership.
Teach your sons that a woman can disagree without disrespecting them, and that listening to their wives does not diminish their manhood.
They should be taught that accepting correction is not weakness, and that a wife's education, income, and success are not threats to her husband's position.
More importantly, let them see these values practised at home.
Children don't just take what we tell them verbally, they watch and learn from our actions.
A man can be respected without making his wife feel insignificant. He can lead without intimidating, provide without controlling, and decide without silencing another adult.
If the only way a man knows how to establish his leadership is by reducing the woman beside him, perhaps what he has learnt is not leadership after all.
May we raise better sons.

As a young man,
Learn to be a loner.
You'll need it later in life, because your friends will later marry their wives and children.
Their priority will be their immediate families and not you.
Learn to go to the bar alone and sit alone to just chill and reflect on your life and the future of your family.
A married man should not be hanging out with too many male friends.
If it's not strictly business or work related, you don't need a crowd.
That's how you survive this world.
A man who keeps too many male friends is exposing himself and will eventually become too vulnerable.
If you feel too lonely and you need company, rise one girl to chill with.
Her feminine nature will calm your nerves and make you feel younger and a little happier.
Other than that, hang out alone, most of the time.
It will prepare you for your 40s and beyond.
End.

1. The CCTV recording is evidence in a homicide case. It doesn't stop being yours, but it is now relevant to a criminal investigation. Under section 84 of the Evidence Act 2011, computer-generated evidence like CCTV can be admitted in court if it comes with a certificate about the device that recorded it. That video is capable of helping to determine the case.
2. I strongly advise that you don’t delete it. Destroying evidence you know is needed for a criminal case can be treated as obstructing justice. You may be tried and convicted for it.
3. You don't have to give it to the families. They have no legal right to demand it from you. If the footage helps their sons, the defence lawyers can apply to court, and the court can order it produced via subpoena. That helps to keep the chain of custody clean and also protects you.
4. Relying on Section 4 of the Police Act 2020, the police upon detection of a crime are allowed to gather evidence, and a combined reading of sections 9 and 12 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act empowers the Investigating Police Officer (IPO) to collect evidence from anyone who has it. The best thing to do is to get your lawyer to write the Police and attach a copy of the video to the investigating officer and get an acknowledgement for your record.
5. Furthermore, you have to think about your safety. Once people know your camera saw what happened, you're a witness. The best thing to do is to cooperate with the police, hand it over and also seek their protection. If you get threats, report them straight away.
6. Just to add, the aspect of right to privacy does not really come up here especially if it happened on the street and your camera captured it. You may own your property but the Street doesn’t belong to you.
Yesterday, chaos broke out on my street and sadly, about two people lost their lives.
Police came and arrested some guys. Later, the families of those guys came to my gate begging me to give them the CCTV footage from that day, because I have a camera outside my house.
I refused to give it to them.
This morning, I received a police invitation letter, and I am very sure it's about that same CCTV footage.
Now I'm asking: Does the police even have the legal right to demand my private CCTV footage? What happens if I refuse to release it? Will I be committing a crime if I say no?

🚨 Zlatan Ibrahimović on Gavi:
“Gavi is a good player, but Barcelona keeps giving him chance after chance. Against Elche, he couldn’t control the midfield. Rough tackles aren’t enough.
La Masia isn’t a guarantee. If Gavi isn’t delivering, Barça must consider a loan or sale.”

Same, I have my doubts. Can Romero really play alongside Cubarsi?
I'd rather go for a left footed CB. Laporte would be the safest option, but negotiating with Athletic will be very difficult unless there's a reasonable buyout clause.

Good morning! ☀️
On today's edition of Intellectual Tweets, let's talk about something that sounds like it belongs in a science-fiction movie...
What if your body could make alcohol without you drinking any
It sounds ridiculous, but there's actually a rare condition called Auto-Brewery Syndrome, also known as gut fermentation syndrome.
Basically, certain microorganisms in the gut can ferment the carbohydrates you eat and produce ethanol, the same type of alcohol found in alcoholic drinks.
And if enough alcohol builds up, a person can actually feel drunk without having a drink.
We're talking about things like:
Dizziness
Slurred speech
Poor coordination
Confusion
Extreme tiredness
Nausea
Imagine eating a plate of rice and later feeling like you've had a few drinks
So what's going on inside the body?
Our gut naturally contains countless microorganisms, and tiny amounts of alcohol can sometimes be produced during fermentation. But in Auto-Brewery Syndrome, certain alcohol-producing microorganisms can become unusually abundant and produce much more ethanol than normal.
Some documented cases have involved Saccharomyces cerevisiae, the yeast used in baking and brewing, as well as certain Candida species. Some cases have also involved bacteria such as Klebsiella pneumoniae.
Researchers have found possible links with things like previous antibiotic use, gastrointestinal problems, changes to the gut, and diets high in carbohydrates. But having any of these doesn't mean you have Auto-Brewery Syndrome. It is extremely rare.
And here's where it gets really serious.
Some people with the condition have actually been accused of drinking when they hadn't. Imagine being told you're drunk when you've genuinely had no alcohol. There have even been documented cases involving problems at work and with the law.
Diagnosis isn't as simple as taking one breathalyzer test. Doctors have to rule out other causes and may monitor blood or breath alcohol levels after a controlled carbohydrate challenge while also investigating the microorganisms in the gut.
Treatment depends on the individual and what is causing the abnormal fermentation. It may involve changes to the diet, treating the microbial overgrowth, and sometimes antifungal or antibacterial medication.
We're still learning about this condition because there aren't many documented cases.
So yes
Your gut can produce alcohol.
But before you start blaming your stomach for that drink you had last night 😂 remember that Auto-Brewery Syndrome is very rare and requires proper medical evaluation.
Imagine telling everyone, "I swear I didn't drink anything," while your gut is secretly running a brewery. – at Ikorudu, Nigeria

🚨 LAPORTE FOR LESS THAN €15M? THIS SHOULD BE A NO BRAINER 🤯
So Laporte really has a buyout clause of less than €15m?
If that's true, Barcelona have to go for him. He's a quality left footed, ball playing centre back who already showed great chemistry with Cubarsi at the World Cup.
He can still give Barca at least two seasons at the top level and could genuinely be our Inigo 2.0.
For that price, we have to do it. 🔵🔴 Honestly, I wouldn't even mind Barcelona paying €35m to €40m if that's what it takes to get this deal done.
Don't get me wrong, I like Cuti Romero, but I have doubts about pairing him with Cubarsi. They're both right footed, meaning one would have to play out of position, which could hurt us badly in buildup, especially against high pressing teams.
Laporte and Cubarsi is already a proven partnership at the highest level. It simply makes much more sense. A safe bet!
