A ballot fiasco. Damning California headlines. Then CoCo's top lawyer & election official resigns — and the district waits 8 days to disclose it. No-bid contracts. Insider ties. Millions for consultants. Who's really benefiting from this train? My latest @DenverGazette: 🔗👇 "Will CoCo arrive on time and on budget — or as another windfall for consultants? ... (And) when do we stop pretending these train ventures are about transportation — when they’re really about who benefits from all the taxpayer dollars sloshing around?"

Welp, Van Jones is right.
I have spoken out against anti-Muslim hate in the Michigan Senate race. I will speak out just as loudly when the target is Jewish people. Let me state a little-known fact: ISRAEL GETS LESS THAN 0.1 PERCENT OF THE FEDERAL BUDGET. That’s less than one tenth of a percent! But there is an ad running that tells voters they can’t afford groceries because the United States gives so much money to Israel. In reality, the United States spends money in and on countries all around the world – but this ad singles out the Jewish state. The ad is as dangerous as it is dishonest. You can disagree with how the United States spends money abroad. But telling hungry families that the Jewish state is the reason they are suffering is wrong and shameful. Blaming Jews for people’s problems is an old story. Anybody who has read the last century of history knows where it leads. It is a dark pathway. This ad is anti-Jewish hate and should come down immediately. Abdul El-Sayed should denounce it today.

I have no idea why renaming AI is so bizarrely important to Trump. Nobody cares about the name he chose. Nobody is using it or will use it. And it’s not even technically accurate because “super intelligence” already had an agreed upon, widely adopted definition. This is the weirdest political hill to die on. It gains you nothing. Not a single ordinary American in the country, anywhere, cares deeply about making sure people say “SI” instead of “AI.” We are days away from a major election and this bullshit is the focus? Just baffling.

The non-partisan tax foundation found that high income taxes hurt growth. It’s critical that Colorado voters reject Amendment 87 which would make Colorado the 9th highest taxed state. It’s not to late to vote No on amendment 87
States with no individual income tax (Florida, Texas, Tennessee, Nevada, and others) consistently rank among the strongest gainers, while states with the highest top rates (California at 13.3 percent, New York at 10.9 percent, and New Jersey at 10.75 percent) dominate the list of largest losers. Because nothing says "stronger strategic position" like losing your navy and air force and having your vital shipping route blockaded and your economy in free fall.
NOW - Obama says that Iran is "in a stronger strategic position now than before the war started."

I mean Cenk is dumb and a bigot. Everyone knows this. But this ad is dumb and bigoted at scale. It’s innumerate and morally obtuse and if anything remotely like it was aimed at Muslims he and his ilk would (defensibly) be outraged. But this shit is fine when aimed at the you know who.
New @RebellionPac ad dropping in Michigan. We have to suffer here at home, so Israel can get all its wars. That’s why they buy politicians like Mike Rogers. He promised to serve Israel “unconditionally,” but never made that promise to you.

It was disappointing that @60Minutes, with all its resources and expertise, broke zero new ground on the Tina Peters story. The report was just a repetition of what local journalists reported long ago.
“Show me the evidence that the paper ballot results differed from the computerized results,” 60 Minutes’ Bill Whitaker asks Tina Peters, the former Colorado election official who served time for her role in a voting machine breach. “My place is not to show, you know, pick out different things and what-- what could have happened,” Peters says. “I was authorized to protect the election records according to 52USC.70201.” cbsn.ws/3W6ZKFb

We are not mentioning that both Melat Kiros and Javier Mabrey belong to the antisemitic, socialist DSA - helping bring Middle Eastern style politics to Colorado. Best to ignore her opponent, Denver native Dr. Shimon Blau. #copolitics #Denver #9News #heynext
I’m so honored to have Colorado Representative Javier Mabrey’s support. He’s been leading the fight against oligarchs in the state capitol and now it’s time a fighter from Denver does the same for us in Congress. Let’s do this!

Abdul is not the only Muslim to run for the Senate. Mehmet Oz ran in 2024. No one ran against Oz because he’s a Muslim. That’s because Oz didn’t call Israel Bloodthirsty. Oz didn’t write an oped urging support for the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. Oz didn’t have donors who belonged to the MB. Oz didn’t blame terrorism on the policies of the US. And Oz didn’t justify a terrorist on a synagogue. This race isn’t about Abdul’s faith. It’s about his extremist ideas.
El-Sayed: "We had a little debate. Or I had a debate and he just pointed at me and said, 'He's Muslim.'"

Since the "very powerful" ad (as Trump puts it) was released earlier this week by @VivekGRamaswamy against his Dem opponent, Amy Acton, featuring Acton's estranged mother who was apparently married to a second husband who raped Acton, Ramaswamy's betting odds on @Kalshi of winning the Ohio governor's race have dropped from 30% to 19%. This is the ad that @jdvance and now @realDonaldTrump have said Ramaswamy should keep up even after all decent people have said he should stop running it. Ramaswamy has said he'd keep running it but I bet ya he stops within the next 24 hours. Of course, Vance and Ramaswamy have both learned this behavior/mindset from Trump, namely that truth is irrelevant and that no behavior is too terrible to apologize for or even simply to stop doing. I wonder how Republican Senate candidate Jon Husted feels about this mess. Over that same time period, his betting odds on his winning his race have dropped from 36% to 31%. Trump also gave us Ken Paxton, Mike Collins, Michael Whatley, and Darline Graham (who will probably win but is a weak candidate). Both by his disastrous second-term as president and by endorsing weak Senate candidates, if the GOP loses control of the Senate everyone will understand whose fault it is. Maybe Michele Tafoya can save the Senate for the GOP...

"CoCo" sent its tax measure to 800,000 ineligible voters. Now it wants $295M/year. The election official overseeing it? A lawyer whose travel billing drew scrutiny on California's bullet train — a project he advises w/ billions spent & no track laid. Today @DenverGazette: 🔗👇 "The signature rail project Butzin advises has spent billions on what critics call a 'train to nowhere,' a label even California Gov. Gavin Newsom acknowledges. That same lawyer is now general counsel for Colorado’s shiny new rail boondoggle, marketed as the 'Colorado Connector,' aka 'Coco.' And he's the designated election official responsible for the flubbed ballot asking voters to trust the passenger rail district with hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars."
