Literally no one says test scores should be the sole measurement. There are a variety of factors schools track. The idea of a test obsession is gaslighting meant to take an important measure off the table so the education establishment can ignore the outcomes of *some* students.

Congratulations @DemocracyPrep @SethAndrew ... the power of civics education! teapawt.net/aeieducation/status/98…
This month, lackluster reading and math scores from the 2017 NAEP were released. But a new report shows some progress in civics education worthy of celebration. @DemocracyPrep @natmalkus @BrendanMBell11 ow.ly/yDAw30jEELd

Today, a jury did the right thing. But true justice requires much more. Michelle and I send our prayers to the Floyd family, and we stand with all those who are committed to guaranteeing every American the full measure of justice that George and so many others have been denied.

Let’s be clear—this is an inflection point, not an end point. We can and must do better. Justice for one doesn’t equal justice for all. #GeorgeFloyd

The @WhiteHouse challenged me to race against the clock to answer questions on infrastructure. Let's see how I did ⏱️

But I feel enormous gratitude for the countless people I've met over the past couple months who are proudly in the messy middle and tirelessly seeking solutions on behalf of school systems across the country.

If you ever think your voice in our democracy doesn’t matter, just look at how hard politicians are working to silence you. More than 350 different bills have been introduced nationwide that restrict voting rights.
Your voice is powerful, never forget that.

#VartanGregorian was the best of America. As a NYC Library kid in the 80’s & @Brown student in the 90’s he left an indelible mark on me, our city, nation & world.
I’ll remember him in the @BarackObama White House smiling & laughing like only he could-RIP

Proud to have played my part in this report, which stood up over time. Many memorable late nights at Gregorian's house that winter. He was savvy, erudite, and loved to tell a story. Great guy. RIP.
