capital efficiency is a major challenge for active traders: idle collateral earns nothing, while yield strategies can limit trading flexibility.
@grvt_io is addressing this with yield as margin, an upcoming feature of grvt 2.0.
the concept lets eligible yield-bearing earn assets serve as trading collateral while continuing to generate returns.
grvt targets up to 11% yield through earn strategies backed by fixed-income assets, subject to strategy terms and risks.
combined with self-custody, the goal is to manage yield and trading through one account without constantly moving capital around.
for traders, this could improve capital efficiency, but liquidation risk, collateral haircuts, and liquidity restrictions still matter.
the planned november rollout could be an important step as grvt expands into stocks, fx, commodities, and indices.
