A little trivia: Bobby Williams @BobbyWilliamsAD and @GregSankey attended Nolan Ryan's 7th no-hitter together in Arlington in 1991 during @SouthlandSports meetings.
Congrats to "Coach" Williams -- he was an assistant football coach at Sam when I began there in 1989 on the @BearkatsBSB team -- who oversaw the most successful sports run in @SamHoustonState history, including the FCS 2020 football national title.
Williams, a former Rice receiver, could have gone to plenty of other places along the way after having so much success at Sam, but chose to provide his family some stability in Huntsville. A terrific AD and an awesome family man:

Absolute stud. Casey has been at the forefront of maximizing Hoglund for this postseason run! Countless others have been part of the journey. Proud of our people!
One of the unsung heroes behind Kansas baseball's growth: Casey Cook.
From the Backyard to the new standing-room decks, the Associate Athletic Director for Events has played a major role in the expansion of the Hog.
