Today we remember the four brave U.S. citizens of Hermanos al Rescate — Brothers to the Rescue — whose unarmed humanitarian planes were shot down by the Cuban regime on February 24, 1996.
They flew missions to rescue Cubans risking their lives to escape communism. For that, they were killed.
For many in South Florida, this is not distant history. It is personal. We honor their sacrifice and stand with all those who continue the fight for a free Cuba. #SOSCuba

Today in the Senate, SB 484, a bill that safeguards Florida consumers from the growing costs in utility bills as a result of data centers, will be debated.
With an affordability crisis at everyone’s doorstep, Florida can’t afford higher electric bills.
Data centers = massive power + cooling demand = higher rates.
We need to shield consumers, not sacrifice them.
