Good grief, but the John Lewis Xmas advert is AWFUL.
It's basically an advert for buying gifts for ungrateful kids with terrible parents.
The grandchildren are just plain rude. The parents don't notice or care. So the grandma decides to splash the cash on gifts she thinks they will like - so rewarding their rudeness!
If I had a kid who behaved like that, they wouldn't be getting a single gift on Christmas Day. Not one.
Oh, and of COURSE the ad has to feature a mixed race family (who make up 1.3% of all British families yet about 50% of families appearing in TV adverts) because, y'know, diversity.
It's all so bloody irritating. 🙄

So let me get this straight...
Blaming Muslims today for 9/11 is bigotry, but blaming white people today for slavery is somehow justice?
ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR DAMN MIND?
You don’t get to condemn collective guilt for one group and celebrate it for another.
THAT’S NOT JUSTICE. THAT’S HYPOCRISY ON STEROIDS

Hey @JohnLewisRetail may I suggest you look at the Christmas advert of @DogsTrust and learn a valuable lesson from it for next year.
And sack the advertising firm you paid this year. They're shit.

📣“When even someone as relatively sensible as Reynolds believes that employers are a class that don’t work for a living but somehow live off the backs of ‘working people’ then it shows the scale of Labour’s inability to grasp even the basics of wealth creation and growth – and thus the scale of the problem for our economy.”

I can’t express how much I hate this John Lewis advert. Spoilt entitled, rude and overindulged children. Useless, weak parents. Terrible mauling of the Rolling Stones. Yet again ANOTHER cliched out-of-touch grandparent we are all supposed to roll our eyes at. Urgh. It’s as bad as that ‘get consent to hug your grandkids’ one.

Unbelievable that someone who is a Treasury Minister can be so naive and spiteful. I would be very surprised if she had ever worried about….making a profit….paying her staff….cold calling to find new business…..had sleepless nights worrying about money…..faced increasing taxes everywhere. I’m 76 and still run a small business despite everything the British government has done for years. It breaks my heart to see how they spend the tax and NI we send HMRC every month…..the sooner this lot is voted out….the better. Just to be clear….I AM AN EMPLOYER AND A WORKING PERSON.

Just in case the government try to say later that social care workers make a net contribution, here’s their own analysis showing that the cost of letting social care workers settle is £10 billion:

Andy Burnham appears to have simply ditched the word “reparations” and dressed up £40 million for Caribbean countries as “infrastructure and green energy projects”.
Who does he think he's fooling?
British taxpayers are being asked to bankroll projects overseas while our own roads crumble, public services struggle and infrastructure desperately needs investment.
British taxpayers are being treated like a bottomless cash machine.
This is an absolute disgrace.

Labour Minister Emma Reynolds says employers are 'not workers'.
She is Chief Secretary to the Treasury.
This in the level of economic illiteracy and incompetence of this Labour government.
Clowns, totally unfit for office.

The government’s grandest plane, an A321 jet, took off from Stansted at 6.05 a.m. this morning. Burnham wasn't on it. It flew 34 minutes to Manchester to collect the PM, then set off for the Commonwealth summit in Antigua. Guido estimates the detour cost around £20,000 of taxpayer cash. Avanti not good enough for him?
Flight tracking data shows the jet landed in Manchester at 6.39 a.m. and left again at 8.06 a.m., heading for a refuelling stop in Newfoundland before the Caribbean. The government eventually publishes what every trip on the plane costs. Starmer’s same-day trip to Paris on in April came to £39,756 at roughly £20,000 a leg. Stansted to Manchester is shorter than Paris, but every additional leg brings its own landing and handling fees. About £18,000-20,000’s worth according to Guido’s fag packet maths…
The whole jaunt, there and back, comes to about 21 hours of flying. Based on Starmer’s £121,239 trip to Yerevan in May and Yvette Cooper’s £148,700 trip to Washington in December, long-haul flying on the plane costs between £9,500 and £12,400 an hour. That puts Burnham's full trip at about £250,000.
Burnham took the same government jet from Glasgow to Manchester in July to open No10 North, despite a choice of trains. When Liz Truss used the same plane to fly to Australia, @AngelaRayner called it a “ridiculous waste of half a million pounds on a private jet trip”. Thoughts on this one, Ange?

Buried in @JohnHealey_MP budget is the revelation of £150m for more army bases for illegal migrants. Wonder why the chancellor never mentioned that in his dull statement

How fucking dare he. On a day when families cried, parents panicked, pensioners shuddered, farmers slumped, children were ignored and the country was decimated, he's playing pub games. I hope this is AI. If its not, this is the clearest picture you will have of what this Govt thinks of you. Remember it well.

Did anyone notice Angela Rayner and Louise Haigh’s bitchfest when Kemi Badenoch stood up to respond to the budget?
They were whispering with their heads together, sniggering and mimicking someone nagging.
Well done Ladies, it took me back to being at primary school 👏
