we have a winner for the most absurd AI startup ever this Peter Thiel backed company uses AI robots to stab fish in the brain so they taste better and last up to 3x longer it's called Shinkei and it modernizes a centuries-old Japanese technique dozens of Michelin-star restaurants are already lining up to buy the fish here's how it works: > the problem is when a fish gets caught, it usually just suffocates on the boat > that stress floods the meat with hormones and lactic acid, which hurts the flavor and texture > the old Japanese fix for this was spiking the fish through the brain right after the catch, which stops all that > but doing it by hand is impractical for most American fishing crews > so Shinkei built a fridge-sized robot that sits right on the boat's deck > the crew feeds in a fish and AI identifies the exact species, so it knows exactly where the brain and gills are > the robot then drives the spike through the brain and cuts near the gills in about 7 seconds > the fish goes into an ice slurry so the blood drains out > so the fish doesn't sit there stressing out, and that tasty flavor and texture is preserved example number 5,392,417 of how AI can be applied to literally anything

This is a formal request for Susie Wiles and James Blair to stop harassing me with texts and calls. If there is a factual inaccuracy in what I said, send it to me in writing and I will vigorously correct and apologize for any misstatements. I will note that everything I said is substantiated by other senior officials. If you want to file a lawsuit and get into discovery of whether it’s provably true that Ballard and Continental had an undue influence on the White House policy process, do it. I believe we are in an existential moment for the country, and Americans were owed an honest accounting of the past two years so we identify the problems we need to move on from.

1107 is out. Same Sparks. Faster. spark-ds41f-1107: DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash, native weights, 1M context, four DGX Sparks. Also all the other cluster configurations. Against the last release on the same four Sparks: decode: 82.5 tok/s at one stream, 273.2 at sixteen (+5–6%) prefill: +17% at 131K, 6,015 tok/s at 1M first token beside a 131K prompt: 3.4 s → 1.0 s CopyDrafter is a new idea and you're going to love it. 254 experiments. The largest rental properties owners in America is being approached by home builders to offload homes at a whopping 30% discount. They DO NOT want them. Why? Because they're 50% overpriced. Rents DO NOT cover the mortgage. Now it gets fun. They're not only NOT buying in bulk at 30% off. They're net SELLING houses. Buckle the fuck up

Odd corollary: If you were a teen in the 80's, as I was, there was a national effort to reduce teen pregnancy. And it worked. Really well. It disappeared almost overnight in 1990; just about the time the left started pushing abortion on demand...
LONELY SINGLE VILLAINS IN YOUR AREA: History will question why Americans spent fifty years lionizing single mothers, even as they knew these women were responsible for more damage than perhaps any other. And don't get me wrong. I'm not just talking about how single moms have been terrible for American children, an utter catastrophe, I'm talking specifically about how they were considered unimpeachable even as they did all they could, accidental or otherwise, to destroy American society. That's the phenomena I really want to bring attention to here. It's as if there was a weird campaign going on since the 80's to impress upon Americans that not only was heroin addiction a noble and worthy pursuit, but that there was something wrong with you as a person, some moral defect in character if you dared question it. The socially destructive pursuit wasn't publicly shamed, the act of denouncing it was. Future scholars will ponder over the insanity of it and won't understand because I certainly don't understand it. Do you?

20 million new voters when native-born population only rose by 2 million 🤔
20 million new voters registered between 2022 and 2024 in states that don’t require documentary proof of citizenship. 37 states don’t ask for a passport, birth certificate or naturalization papers to register to vote.

They did it intentionally so they could blame Trump & try ti crush his base. They foolishly believe the establishment can take back the party from the people & they will try to use this to justify siding with the Democrats to impeach Trump. They all know the election was stolen. Hold them to account.

Another update to GLM 5.3 Flash for 2 DGX Sparks ⚡️ - KV sharding: when enabled, the two dgx sparks split context memory, so you get about 50% more room. This gives you around 3.1M total KV cache. - Chats now save to disk and resume after a restart. A 101K token chat came back with 98K tokens cached, and the same answer. - You can now set a minimum prompt cache. If it can’t be met, both nodes refuse to start. I also removed a false warning on every start. - With thinking off, prompt overhead dropped from 15 to 8 tokens, and garbled repeated tool-call lines are fixed. Thanks for the community PRs and issue reports that made all this happen at lightning speed! Get it here: github.com/MiaAI-Lab/GLM-5.3…

Oh wow!!! 😮 Nous trained their own Qwen3.8-27B and released Arete-27B 🔥🔥 This model stops following China's "guidelines" on things like speech, democracy, and privacy. This is big deal for anyone running Chinese open models locally! Great job @NousResearch I love it. I hope it's first of many!
Introducing Arete-27B: Qwen3.8-27B, post-trained to reinforce Western values. Chinese open models are currently the strongest available, but they ship with state-aligned behavior in the weights. We built an 803-prompt eval across seven value categories, including freedom of expression, democracy, and privacy, and measured how often a model adopts China’s party line. After fine-tuning on roughly 53 million tokens, Arete-27B's propaganda rate fell from 22% to 1%, in line with the Western models we tested. Its Hermes Bench score shows no significant performance tradeoffs. The values in an open model are one fine-tune away. Our eval, weights, and training data are available now along with the full blog post: nousresearch.com/arete
