Double trouble for SCI! 🔍🧠
Our 2nd preprint is live - this time led by @Yogeshsahu2030. We’ve identified 2 key regulators of CNS axon regeneration after spinal cord injury and unpack their signaling mechanisms.
Read it here 👉 biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…
Proud of the whole team!🥳
🚨🚨Dropping our 2nd V-Lab preprint, this time on work led by @Yogeshsahu2030 🥳! We identify 2 novel regulators of CNS axon regeneration post spinal injuries in 🐭 and dive into the underlying Mol.mechanisms. Incredibly proud of the whole team (tagged). biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…

Dussera gift from the universe! Our Nucleosome remodeling paper is out in @CommsBio today! 🥳🥳Combined effort of @netrakrish and @AnishaSumith supported by @DhruvaKesireddy and @manoj290991! Will post an explorable explanation soon, stay tuned! nature.com/articles/s42003-0…
Even after complaint 4 times, 12:30 am in night. Loud music on road, still no strict action taken . Location- Nacharam, Hyderabad

Science really said: let me join the Independence Day celebrations 🇮🇳🧠✨
Proud to see our neurons fly the tricolour. 🥹🔬
Here’s to good science, big ideas & making it count. 🇮🇳
HAPPY 80TH INDEPENDENCE DAY 🇮🇳🇮🇳
Using images generated by @Rutuja_P13 and @Shringika , assembled a cellular flag 🇮🇳 for Independence Day! May we continue to make our country proud by doing strong, high-quality research and mentoring tomorrow’s scientists to be world-class!

Scoring behavior in mouse models of Spinal Injury is notoriously tricky+ glitchy. Manual scoring is inefficient + error prone while commercial software fails to track the nuances and breadth of recovery. Enter KiMa, an AI/ML model developed by @manoj290991 , preprint summary 👇🏼

We proudly congratulate @AnishaSumith for bagging the @IBROorg @SfNtweets IBRO/SFN travel award to present her work at the Society for Neuroscience meeting to be held in Washington DC in November. She has some cool stories brewing so watch out DC 🥳🥳🥳

This is for the ICMR project! Go ahead and apply if you think it’s a good fit
We are hiring at multiple levels.

Thrilled to announce our @CSIR_IND Grant under the FBR scheme! This will fund our efforts to neutralize growth repressors via crispr knockdown and characterize regeneration and behavior in mouse models of spinal injury 🥳🥳🥳 We will be hiring 2 project associates!
When your mentor shows off your work, you have to brag a little 😎... it's basically a lab flex. 😌🔬
Fluorescence Fridays! Can’t help but GAWK at this image generated by @Shringika! She’s a DRG whisperer! These are peripheral neurons responding to a gene treatment. More soon but for now enjoy this image as we slide into Fri-yay 🥳
Finally out! 7th preprint from the lab is out 👏 Really grateful to have been part of the team... stay tuned for more update 🥳🎊💫
Tired but happy faces! We just preprinted our 7th paper from the lab @biorxivpreprint a huge labor of love and 👏🏼 to authors @Yogeshsahu2030 @Athulnarayanps @manoj290991 @Shringika @DhruvaKesireddy @AnishaSumith 🎉🥳 more on the science when it drops online!

We did our annual lab pic today which I’ll post soon but our annual silly pic is always my fav 😂😂 this one is only of the lovely lab ladies 💃with blooming bougainvillea! @AnishaSumith @Shringika @AarthiSukumar27 @Rutuja_P13 and the x-less Abhilaya, Meera, Susmita and Ankita!

We’re looking for a 1 year (not 6 month) Dissertee for our funded stem cell project! If you’re interested check out CCMB DRTP program ccmb.res.in/dissertation-res…. Full disclosure- there’s a fee associated with this. But the payback is 👌🏼esp if you’re looking to do a PhD right after.

We made it to the 1% preprints of @qedScience !!! Only 2 from 🇮🇳 and one is @Yogeshsahu2030’s preprint! I’ve always said geographical bias exists in peer review and total blinding would give us the review we actually deserve. Now I have receipts to back it up! Curious who else made the cut? Excited to kick off our second @DBTIndia funded project! This time combinatorial stem cell/ gene therapy for spinal cord repair! @Rutuja_P13 @dhanuush_ @Shringika and Prakash are sculpting this story one transplant at a time, so watch out for some cool science 🧬 on this soon!
Celebrating 4 years of science, achievements and Us 🎉
From breakthroughs in the lab to almost falling into the pool 😄-every moment counts.
Cheers to us, our journey, and many more to come! #LabTurns4 #IVLabretreat2026
And then came the ‘State of the Lab’…
A moment to look back, recognize everyone in lab, and celebrate how far we’ve come.
From funding wins to new projects, from firsts to becoming pros-every sash told a story ✨
#IVLabretreat2026
Another fav part of the retreat for me? As part of the state of the lab address, Individual shout-out to the crew along with a sashing ceremony (sash has the key achievement from the past year drawn with custom designs by @Rutuja_P13 ) 😁 who doesn’t love the spotlight right? ❤️
We sat down to ask a simple question:
What values define our lab?
The answers spoke-dedication, clarity, honesty, discipline, focus.
Not just words, but a reflection of how we think and work together ✨
#IVLabretreat2026
We entered the pool with rules, teams, and strategy…5 minutes later, no one remembered the rules, teams were irrelevant, and it turned into a full-blown splash war 💦😂 and honestly, that was the best part☺️🥰 #IVLabretreat2026
Retreat diaries: chill, swim, and cook because… plot twist 😂
#IVLabretreat2026
Right before the pause🩵
#IVLabretreat2026
And we are offffffff #IVLabretreat2026 😀 see you on the other side!
2 years in IVLab… & it honestly feels like little lifetime❣️
@Ishwariya13 Mam & I wrote 8 proposals (yes, that many). 3 shortlisted, & lucky to get 1, then I joined in 2024, stepping into something new & unfamiliar- but mam took a leap of faith on me & truly grateful she did...
What I’ll probably remember the most though is the lab itself. People from different states- all different stories. Somehow it works. Festivals, random chai breaks, retreats… it never felt like just work.
Grateful for the trust, the patience, the push, and the space to grow.
Still learning, still figuring it out-but definitely more confident than the 2024 version of me. 😄
