RNLI volunteers involved in Sunday’s rescue have reportedly had their names and home addresses shared online. Nigel Farage shared, then deleted, Ant Middleton’s post calling for the RNLI to be defunded. Middleton, once an RNLI ambassador, is not fit to shine the wellies of today’s RNLI heroes. Almost at 200,000 signatures and still 11 days left until the debate in parliament. How fantastic would it be to that over 250,000 by the end of next week?
We are going to pass 200K signatures soon. You can be part of ending the privatised water scam; please sign and share widely. This will be debated in Parliament on 14 September - is your MP going? This is the link 👇👇👇 petition.parliament.uk/petit…

I just ran on this policy in an election and held Farage to a Count. You guys spent the summer on the log flume at Chessington.
Triggering a vanity by-election was a blatant attempt by Farage to dodge being held to account. Our ‘Clacton Clause’ would stop a stunt like this being pulled ever again. A sitting MP under investigation should never be able to weaponise a by-election into a taxpayer funded attempt to escape scrutiny.

The health element is paid to the terminally ill, housebound, paraplegic, and others with conditions so bad it stops them from working. It requires a strict DWP assessment and scrapping it would massively increase the costs to the state. This policy is fucking nasty. gov.uk/health-conditions-dis…
Reform has unveiled plans to cut the welfare bill by £50bn a year, including scrapping the health element of Universal Credit for working-age adults. Robert Jenrick says the proposals would be the biggest overhaul of the welfare system “in a generation” ⤵️ telegraph.co.uk/politics/202…

Sky News legend Jon Craig points out that Nigel Farage is the first by-election winner not to turn up for the count since IRA hunger striker Bobby Sands in 1981. huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/n…

Hugely important and brave critique of Farage from a supporter of his, and an astute political observer.
This is a good result for @Nigel_Farage. Very good actually and he's been the winsome happy warrior of olde on the sun-soaked streets of Clacton during the campaign. He should be on every tv screen this morning - underlining his win - and with that cheeky, trademark smile on his face. Being the Nigel that so many voters like the idea of hanging out with... in a pub. But this recently far too dominant aggrieved tone is still with us. It's not good. You don't skip your own victory count without a much better explanation. Anger from politicians can work but only if it's on behalf of others - not yourself. He's distracting from his victory. Puzzling.

Well done @CountBinface! Nigel_Farage skipped the results ceremony, citing police concerns they don’t seem to have. Perhaps he didn’t want to be photographed next to an immigrant from outer space. Farage returns to Westminster, to scrutiny, to face the Parliamentary Standards Committee. And my book, out September 10.

Humiliated by the farcical by-election he called, Nigel Farage petulantly skipping the Clacton count only reinforces how badly the King of Sleaze’s stunt spectacularly backfired. Might Farage quit to spend more time with other people's money? mirror.co.uk/news/politics/n…

As the Nicotine Stained Manfrog tries to spin his 22000 votes as a win, meet the real winner of this Backfiring Farage Stunt. @CountBinface should make us all feel proud to be British! Farage credibility is shot! As for not turning up to the count … pathetic. And spare us the ‘police warning BS’. Binface I salute you.
I came first in the Clacton by-election! Of the candidates who bothered to turn up for the results. Here is my victory speech!

Reform's @ZiaYusufUK is a loose cannon damaging his own side who was absolutely owned by @BenWallace70 in this exchange of fire. His vile, warped and alienating "traitor" mentality is another reason the Hard Right side is retreating in the polls. Zia Useless.
Zia Yusuf - who isn’t even an MP - calling a former captain in the Scots Guards who served in Northern Ireland and was mentioned in dispatches a “traitor to Britain” is, by any measure, completely nuts. huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/b…

People of Clacton! Show your support for me by putting a bin outside your house, one day this week, of a colour of Tendring Council's choice. This will be unequivocal proof of the success of my campaign.

A renegade polymath with binoculars and a beard , Bill was invariably funny and occasionally furious . He loved birds and loathed those who harmed them . He was delightfully unpredictable , sparky , smart and at times a bit spiky . Critically he really knew his stuff , and his passion was true - he didn’t just pick up his binoculars on telly , he went birding whenever he could . So he was genuine and that’s why we loved him , he never needed a script , and took scant interest in any he was given . He didn’t like rules and often neglected to play by them . This may have frustrated the serious and the worthy but it always amused his audience - he was an utter joy to be with . I recall finding a Black Woodpecker in a damp Dutch park with him once , he gazed at it intently , sighed , put down his bins , turned to me and just smiled . A massive grin . No words , just a beautiful childlike bliss . That says all you need to know about Bill Oddie . Sadly we’ve not only lost a goodie , we’ve lost one of the besties .
