Proud to be backing Brian and the entire @oatsovernight team!
One of the keys to @oatsovernight success has been their data-driven approach. The team has formed an incredible feedback loop over the years: soft-launching new flavors every month within their 100,000+ active subscriber base, digesting community feedback, making a few small tweaks and bringing only the best flavors to market. I never thought oatmeal could taste so good…

I moved from New York to San Francisco after making the decision in just two weeks (thanks to @vincentzhu for planting the seed last year, @anamitra for pushing me, and Jums for the support)
It was a huge, scary leap months ago, but it’s been nothing short of phenomenal since
Now I’d love to help someone else make the move
If you’re an engineer/technical leader in NY who wants to start a company in SF, DM me. I’ll be in NY from Sat, Oct 31 through Fri, Nov 6 -- I’d love to meet, hear what you’re thinking about building, and share anything useful from my own move
And if you’re not ready to found a company but are considering joining an early-stage startup in SF, reach out anyway
The energy and ambition in SF is unmatched right now. If you’re curious about being part of it, let’s jam!
Unfortunately, we are being blocked by certain oligarchs in order to maintain their monopolistic chokehold on the Indian people. You can guess who they are …
This is a crime against the people of India!
India needs @Starlink 🇮🇳
• 11,256 of India’s listed villages still lacked 4G coverage as of May 2026.
• India had 1.093 billion internet subscriptions in March 2026, but only 440.87 million were rural. Rural subscription density was 48.31 per 100 people, compared with 126.80 in urban India.
• BharatNet had laid over 850,000 route-km of fibre and made about 221,000 Gram Panchayats service-ready. However, its Points of Presence were reported operational at only 80,472 Gram Panchayats in June 2026.
• Only 4.26% of India’s internet subscriptions were wired connections in March 2026. Starlink could give underserved communities another route to high-speed broadband.
• Starlink has already built 20 gateway sites in India, according to SpaceX Vice President of Starlink Business Operations Lauren Dreyer, speaking at India Mobile Congress today.
• Starlink says it has developed India-specific security controls designed to keep Indian user data within India.
• Its satellite network could bring high-speed internet to remote villages, mountains and islands where extending fibre or mobile networks is difficult.
• Better connectivity could help rural schools access online learning, clinics offer remote consultations and small businesses reach more customers. Starlink already supports education and healthcare in remote communities internationally.
• Portable Starlink terminals have supported disaster response around the world. They could give Indian emergency teams backup connectivity when floods, earthquakes or storms damage ground networks.
• Direct to Cell could also help ordinary 4G phones connect beyond tower coverage, subject to Indian approvals and mobile operator partnerships.
• The government itself identifies difficult terrain, low commercial viability and infrastructure constraints as reasons for remaining coverage gaps. This is exactly where Starlink could help India reach more people.
• India should complete the remaining clearances and spectrum allocation so Starlink can begin commercial service.
• SpaceX’s Vice President of Starlink Business Operations, Lauren Dreyer, said that Starlink is ready to help achieve Prime Minister Modi’s vision of 100% connectivity across India. She highlighted its potential to connect remote classrooms, support telemedicine and restore connectivity after disasters, adding, “With Starlink, people can get connected within minutes, not years.”
India’s hardest-to-reach communities deserve reliable internet too.

While this is awful for downtown, it's also awful for the neighborhoods. Here's why:
When commercial downtown real estate values plummet, Cook County's property tax burden directly shifts onto residential neighborhoods, sparking massive property tax spikes for homeowners.
Because Cook County utilizes a fixed-levy system, the city and its school districts demand a set total dollar amount every year regardless of market changes. So if downtown towers lose value and pay less into the pool, homeowners must make up the difference to hit that fixed government target.
Another reason why pitting the downtown against neighborhoods is wrong. We need a thriving downtown for our neighborhoods to thrive and to keep property taxes affordable and people in their homes.
We also need a Mayor who understands the math behind all of this and who understands we're all in this together.
We need to stop the hemorrhaging of our city's finances, deliver economic growth, and make Chicago more affordable for everyone.
We need a safe, vibrant, and thriving Chicago for residents, employees and tourists alike.
I'm ready Chicago, and I'm all in. – at Chicago, IL

“Wednesday’s downgrades come as the city prepares to solicit bond investors next month for more than $500 million to cover back pay.”
We are borrowing, after multiple credit downgrades and thus spiked borrowing costs, to pay back old debts.
This is one of the most absurdist and depressing comments about municipal finance that any of us will probably ever read in our entire lives. Like opening one credit card to pay off another.
Brandon Johnson doesn’t just belong out of a job next year. He deserves a lifelong of shame and humiliation for the damage he has caused Chicago.

🚨NEW EPISODE
Is Chicago trapped in a death spiral—or is it actually massively undervalued?
We sat down with investor @StuLoren on the latest Illinois Policy Podcast to crunch the numbers on Chicago's economy.
His findings are striking:
The average Chicago worker is 10% poorer than 5 years ago
The city is growing at a fraction of Austin and Nashville's rate
...But Chicago's "stock price" might be perfect for certain investors.
We also cover:
✅the reality of the city's pension crisis
✅crime and public safety by the numbers
✅ @ChicagoBears stadium standoff
✅the crisis at @ChiPubSchools

Top 5 steps Chicago’s next mayor can take to fix city finances ⬇️
1. Stop digging the hole deeper: No more pension sweeteners.
2. Advocate for allowing Chapter 9 bankruptcy: Chicago is the only big city without this tool. You don’t have to advocate for entering bankruptcy. But having the option gives you leverage in negotiations.
3. More financial oversight: Create an independent budget office. Fill the city administrator vacancy. Get a real elected CFO a la NYC, LA and Houston. And put it all in a city charter.
4. Empower voters to approve tax hikes and new debt.
5. Implement 100% of the recommendations in last year’s EY report.
NEW: Chicago’s greatest challenge is not a lack of natural resources. Nor top-tier universities. Nor basic infrastructure.
It is the compounded effect of decades of poor financial decisions.

This is wrong. Hardworking people (including US citizens) in Little Village are being apprehended by ICE while grocery shopping & doing laundry.
This is not going after the "worst of the worst". Going after the worst of the worst, means NOT going after the hard-working contributor.
Little Village is filled with good families & hard workers who contribute to our city & state’s economy.
The Little Village economic corridor is home to 1,800 businesses that sustain 30,000 jobs. Terrifying residents into closing businesses & staying in their homes will further harm our economy and moral compass.
Closed businesses and terrified residents do not make our country safer. In fact, the opposite is true.

Agreed. Moody’s Ratings stopped short of another downgrade for the city of Chicago, just changing its “outlook” for the city’s finances from “positive” to “stable.” That’s still a major red flag that the city needs to get its financial act in order. All of us all over the state of Illinois need to worry about the financial health of the state’s economic engine.
This didn’t get enough coverage, but on Friday @moodysratings revised Chicago’s credit outlook downward.
Our credit rating didn’t fall, but the financial picture is getting harder. Here’s what it means for taxpayers 👇 🧵

This is absurd! Thanks to @nbcchicago & @RaymondALopez for investigating.
An elderly widow is fighting a $233,439.90 water bill for a vacant home after the City installed a meter without her authorization!
Even after admitting the meter was faulty, the City is now threatening not only her pension as a former city worker, but also the pensions of her two daughters — both retired Chicago police officers.
How many more families are being crushed by this kind of mismanagement?
I suspect this isn't a one-off but a bigger problem that needs to be fixed.
HAVE YOU EVER BEEN AFFECTED BY FAULTY WATER METER BILLING?
If so, share your story in my comments section. I'm listening.
