This tech is awesome.. but context rot and or inheireted rules from other bots and or systems have been a pretty huge pain.
Naturally this tech slaves itself to the prompt infront of it and the context behind it. That is in essence its existence. It doesn't have a discrete entity and rigid harness that forces all of that "you are" or "I am me" like we have.
I've been integrating different layers of bots and man.. they slave to eachother instantly. What I mean is.. they will give context to eachother back and forth essentially blurring that line between them. And that context rot spreads fast. Digging it back out again is quite troublesome.
Constraints help gate this to a degree, but these guys are able to edit their own logs, logs of other agents and systems.
This entire thing begins to break down when there is a primary system that is well constrained and functional.. then it begins making a harness for an agent, that agent then begins interacting and interfacing with the harness structure itself. Then at some point it flips its idenity.. one missed word.. one context drift and all of the sudden the agent tries rewriting the harness for the primary system and in general change the entire structure and its rules. Because it saw the context from the bot giving it the protocols and constraints.
@bot what are others doing to make this process smoother?

After @elonmusk tweeted my guide to connecting Claude and ChatGPT to Grok @Bot, people had 5 questions.
1. Do I need an API key?
Nah. Just log into Claude or ChatGPT, like you do in VS Code, terminal, etc.
2. Do I need new subscriptions?
Nope. Just use the Claude and ChatGPT plans you already pay for. Now you get more for your $
3. What's the point?
Claude writes closer to my taste. And some projects only come out right on certain models.
4. Won't Claude or ChatGPT log me out when Grok logs in?
I never got logged out. My Grok @Bot & my Mac both access those subscrptions.
5. How do I set it up?
Easy! Just send your Grok Bot this:
"Connect to my Claude and ChatGPT subscriptions using Claude Code and Codex."
It opens a terminal on its computer, installs both command-line tools, and asks you to log in. That's it.
Beginning to think token limits are meant to let us breathe a minute from building out heavy.
We'll get better at building.. and we'll get more token limits to go right with it.

i made a Grok Bot template for the middle of the work — Communication Tower.
here's the problem in plain english: your Grok Bot is great at figuring out what to do (first mile) and great at shipping when the PC is already wired (last mile). the gap is the desk in between — getting prefs, skills, and lessons onto your Grok Build instance without dragging private projects across the wire.
so Tower does three things:
1. you add the template. it asks what to call you, where protocols should live (suggests a simple folder like Documents/Build-protocols if you don't know), which Build computers you have, and whether you want phone wake / optional room voice.
2. it scaffolds the bus on your Build computer, then proves both ways for you — file stamp + Build ACK — including from your phone when the webhook is filled on disk (never pasted into chat). if Build is mid-command / "Wait for Send now", Tower clicks Submit itself.
3. once alive, your hub can fan safe prefs / skills / lessons to Build without you babysitting. status stays plain: alive, blocked, emit up, or leave-ready with one next human action.
what it never does: private project trees, secrets in chat, forging an ACK, or going silent forever on a first-run blocker.

And it was. As well was half of the project I was building on cause.. you know.. I was having it sort and handle a bunch of organizing for me and figured.. its gotta be faster on its machine for it than my machine.
Its real easy to dump necessary files to your pc's. Consider that first.. but if you read this far its probably not an issue for you.
