This Senate race could alter the future of America for a generation.
The stakes go far beyond a single Senate seat. Control of the Senate could determine whether Democrats have the power to pursue D.C. and Puerto Rico statehood, pack the Supreme Court, return to open-border policies, and pass mass amnesty.
But Republicans also have to do a better job telling the full story.
Remind voters where we came from: crushing inflation, a wide-open southern border, rising costs, and a federal government that grew more expensive and intrusive.
Show them what we’ve done: secure the border, unleash American energy, cut unnecessary government, restore fiscal sanity, and fight to bring costs down for working families.
Then make the choice clear: Republicans are the only party offering a path toward lower costs, secure borders, limited government, and an America where families (not Washington) have more control over their future.
The argument can’t just be about what we’re against. We need to paint a picture of what we’re fighting for and make clear how much is at stake. @willcain

Election Day is approaching. How much will the results actually change the country’s direction?
I voted, but the focus on attack ads and flawed campaign rhetoric is frustrating. A more substantive discussion is needed about free enterprise, limited government that protects life, liberty, and property, and whether people will be able to prosper.
Wars and declining affordability are bipartisan problems with bipartisan causes. Both major parties have expanded government, increased deficits, and spent beyond sustainable levels. When they lose votes, they will blame third-party candidates rather than their own records
Principles and results matter more than party affiliation.

Notre Dame is where Justice Amy Coney Barrett ’97 J.D. earned her law degree, discovered her calling to teach, and built a community that continues to sustain her. As the first Notre Dame graduate to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court, she saw answering that call as an opportunity to serve. In the 2026 Notre Dame Lawyer magazine, she shares a personal look at her journey to the U.S. Supreme Court, her commitment to mentoring future lawyers, and why Notre Dame still feels like home.

Folks in both parties should acknowledge that the midterm election is what Donald Trump wanted it to be: a referendum on him. ("Act like I'm on the ballot.") We'll soon have an outcome. A blue wave = a negative verdict on the President. No blue wave = a vote of confidence.

Thank you @SenTedCruz for your commitment to advance the Northeast Lobsterman Protection Act when the Senate returns in November.
@RepGolden's bipartisan legislation – which would extend the current pause on new North Atlantic right whale regulations through 2035 – is vital to protecting the lobster industry, which supports $2 billion in annual economic activity and more than 17,500 jobs.
@SenAngusKing and I wrote to Senator Cruz in September asking for his help moving this bill through committee.
Thanks to Senator Susan Collins, @SenateCommerce will mark up the Northeast Lobstermen Protection Act when the Senate returns in November.
@SenatorCollins’s leadership has been instrumental in advancing this bill to protect Maine’s lobstermen from burdensome regulations. I hope we can move this bill without changes or further delay to put on President Trump’s desk ASAP.

Today’s New York Times reporting reveals disturbing new evidence of an organized effort to manipulate Alaska’s elections by recruiting candidates—including one with the same name as an incumbent U.S. Senator—to deliberately confuse voters and misdirect their votes. The Alaska Division of Elections investigated these very concerns in June of this year. The new reporting substantially supports the Division’s findings.
I am therefore directing the Department of Public Safety to investigate whether this scheme violated Alaska’s laws and whether criminal charges or civil action are warranted. The evidence will determine what happens next.
Alaskans have a fundamental right to vote for the candidate they actually intend to support. Deliberately tricking voters into casting their ballots for someone else strikes at the integrity of our elections.
Anyone or any organization found to have broken the law must be held accountable.

News: Former Speaker Kevin McCarthy has become a key ally to Jim Jordan and has been working behind the scenes as an informal advisor to the House Judiciary Chair.
One time foes, the two now speak often and have discussed the contours of a potential leadership bid from Jordan.
Should Republicans lose the majority, it is expected there will be a heated battle for minority leader between Jordan, House Speaker Mike Johnson and House Majority Leader Steve Scalise.

Mary Peltola weighs in on NYT story that the DSCC recruited the fake Dan Sullivan to run.
“This is all stuff to sell newspapers. This is all stuff to get subscriptions. Nobody at the New York Times cares about affordability in Alaska. This is just another distraction.”

While some may try to write this off as just how politics works now, ballot-stacking should have no place in our electoral process. Run and win on your merits: your views, your policy ideas, and your accomplishments. By contrast, recruiting candidates to manipulate the field and influence voting outcomes is simply wrong. Alaskans deserve the honest truth from Mary and her campaign—what has been revealed is a pattern of lies and coverups and a culture of deception that belongs nowhere in our elections or among our elected officials.

SCOOP: Democrats have insisted they have nothing to do with the other Dan Sullivan on Alaska's Senate ballot.
But aides with the Mary Peltola campaign and DSCC were part of a monthslong secret plan to recruit him to run -- as well as other candidates.
