Hi @ReadingCouncil we are at Christchurch Meadows Paddling Pool. Your website says it is open until 6pm at weekends. We are locked in and the loos are closed. No one came to say that they were shutting it. I will now have to climb out having recently had a hospital operation.
Hey @BootsUK I'm asking you to increase the availability of meningitis B vaccination appointments in Reading. You may have seen in the news that there has tragically been a teenager who died locally of meningitis B. 1/3
In the store in the Reading Oracle, the next available appointment is in the third week of June. If I look in Cambridge or London I could get an appointment next week. There is clearly demand for this locally: can you assign extra staff in the short term to help meet it? 3/3
Hi @thameswater water coming up from the pavement outside the RISC shop in Reading. What3words is sting natively loaded.
In the library to finish off the reading challenge and Mr 5 loved this so much that he asked for a "forever copy" for home - I nabbed the last copy available from Amazon! Recognised the author name as @MrEagletonIan who wrote Nen, a previous firm favourite! You have a fan!
A few days ago I went into @FourbearsBooks and my nearly-three year old son asked Alex to find him a book about mermaids we don't already own. (This becomes an increasingly difficult task with each visit). 1/6
Hi @thameswater not sure if this is yours but there is a stream of water bubbling out from the bottom of a garden and flowing down the path by the Milestone Centre in Caversham, Reading (the is the footpath going under Northbrook Road).
Hi @readingcouncil these traffic lights by Forbury have been down for over a week. Based on past experience of pedestrian light repairs I guess they could be out for a while. This is a key bike route over a busy road. Any chance of temporary lights @Redcaversham ?
This isn't on our regular school run but I went back this way today and found it was fixed. Hurrah!
Hi @ReadingCouncil this half of the pedestrian crossing outside the Travellers Rest is not working.
My son and I waited four cycles of the lights before we risked crossing in the short gap between traffic. This crossing on a busy road gets high levels of use from schoolchildren.
Well I was impressed with how quickly @ReadingCouncil replaced the bollard but apparently this is not a very safe place for a bollard to live because its successor has been taken out too.
Moment of silence for this bollard that's gone down in the line of duty in @readingcouncil territory outside The Last Crumb on Prospect Street.

Hi @Argos_Online please ask your driver not to leave the truck in @readingcouncil segregated cycle lane on Shinfield Road.
Labour MP admits that state schools don't have enough teachers, mental health support or careers advice.
Instead of explaining how government will fix this she advocates making things worse for a different group of children.
Our state schools need teachers more than private schools need embossed stationery.
Our children need mental health support more than private schools need new pools.
Our students need careers advice more than private schools need AstroTurf pitches.

Hi @thameswater there's a leak in the road outside the Blade building in Reading.
Very suddenly appreciating that in not that many years the person who will benefit from the @kidicalmassread rule that @simondsmart and I have been patiently explaining and enforcing on family bike rides ("we go at the pace of the slowest rider") will be me.
New policy: rather than school uniform being e.g. "grey socks" there must be at least four acceptable colours of sock.
Yes, I now have to sort socks into two grey piles with a small (but very important!) size difference.
At least @marksandspencer mark the size very clearly.
