I am looking to hire a Research Software Engineer into my team at ECMWF to bring user-defined Zarr datasets into production to serve our operational forecast output, and ERA5 to the public in a new way. jobs.ecmwf.int/Job/JobDetail…

Great to be out showing the need for safer streets @KidicalMassRead riding a tandem in cross-party collab with @DaveJMcElroy @ReadingLibDems @reading_greens - first time either of us had done it but we didn't fall off!

Replying to @readingcycle
@readingcycle there's a new hazard at green park business park where cars avoid the new speed humps by driving around them into the cycle lanes. Can this be resolved to make the existing cycle route safe for the bikes? No response from @GreenParkUK when I've raised the issue.

This morning we had a horribly parked lorry on the zigzags outside St Martin's School. According to @ThamesVP you can report these online, but on their tool there is no option that actually lets you report this type of parking, short of dialling 999. @ThamesVP, suggestions?

On Saturday (9th March) I spent over an hour sitting on the floor of a train in a tunnel just outside Kings X. The train was due to get in at 1732, and finally got into the platform at about 1845. @GNRailUK just denied the delay repay, as the "delay was 5 minutes". What gives?

I'm especially annoyed as the only option you give for resubmitting is if I believe that I have made a mistake.

Very impressed with the Apple AirTag. It just went through the washing machine - and is still working just fine!

Wreath by bike? That's cute Kat. #TreeByBike @TernGSD @kidicalmassread @readingcycle
We see your #christmastree on a cargo bike and raise you a wreath on a regular bike. Also wreathometer is an interesting test of how bumpy the roads are. Just by Wilson Rd, Oxford Rd if you’re wondering @ReadingCouncil

Was really nice to do a social thing without the kids!
The rides aren’t only about infrastructure and safe routes, its created friendships and a community. And no I haven’t worked out how I’m getting the wreath home in one piece on the bike.

Very impressed (and surprised) to see this in the process of being fixed today. Already! Thanks!

Kidical Mass Reading would like to invite people to it’s annual AGM 15:30 14 Jan 2024 at Park House, University of Reading. Conveniently straight after our January ride, also on campus. We’ll put up an event brite shortly to confirm numbers.

Santa and his elf made some little people very happy today. As well fixing bikes and giving some bike related presents out.

We know it’s chilly but we think we should be dry. So wrap up warm, and bring a waterproof just in case. Santa and his elf say it’s nothing compared to the North Pole #kidicalmass #rdguk 14:00 Thames Lido

We had such a great time today helping 5 families build and take home a bike. I’m in awe of some of the kids skills at putting bikes together. Much better than mine.

Thanks again to @BBCBerkshire for having us on the breakfast show. 02:23:40 bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0gpns… Bingo points if you notice how many times I say infrastructure.
